Kia Carens Clavis EV Getting 6-Seater Layout And New GT Line & X-Line Trims
More Options Coming For Buyers
Kia India is preparing to expand the Carens Clavis EV lineup with new seating configurations and trim levels. A leaked internal document reveals that the electric MPV will soon offer a six-seater layout along with two new trim ranges - GT Line and X-Line. These additions will give buyers more choices when selecting their ideal electric family vehicle.
Six-Seater Configuration Now Available
The biggest addition to the Carens Clavis EV lineup is the introduction of a six-seater layout featuring captain seats in the second row. This new configuration will be available starting from the HTX E variant. Buyers can now choose between six and seven-seat setups based on their family needs and preferences.
The six-seater option will be offered with both battery packs available on the Carens Clavis EV. The 42 kWh standard-range battery will continue as the entry point, while the larger 51.4 kWh extended-range battery will power the higher variants. This flexibility means buyers can pick the seating layout that works best for them without being locked into a specific battery option.
Pricing For Six-Seater Variants
The six-seater HTX E variant with the standard 42 kWh battery starts at Rs 19.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Moving up to the extended-range 51.4 kWh battery, the HTX E six-seater is priced at Rs 21.99 lakh. These prices offer good value for families wanting more spacious seating in an electric vehicle.
Battery Options Explained
The Carens Clavis EV continues with two battery options. It comes with 42 kWh standard-range battery forms the entry point of the lineup and is available with the six-seater HTX E variant. The larger 51.4 kWh extended-range battery powers the higher variants including the GT Line and X-Line trims. This two-battery strategy allows Kia to offer options for different budgets and driving range requirements.
GT Line Trims Bring Sportier Appeal
Kia is introducing the GT Line range with two variants - GTX and GTX Plus. Both versions come exclusively with the 51.4 kWh extended-range battery pack. The GTX trim is priced at around Rs 22.99 lakh while the GTX Plus variant costs Rs 24.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
These GT Line versions are expected to feature sportier styling updates and distinctive trim elements compared to the regular HT variants. The design changes will give buyers a more dynamic appearance if they prefer a sportier look for their electric MPV.
X-Line Variant At The Top
The X-Line variant sits at the premium end of the Carens Clavis EV range, priced close to Rs 24.99 lakh (ex-showroom). This top-tier version is expected to bring unique styling elements, distinctive trim accents and variant-specific cosmetic updates that set it apart from other models in the lineup.
On-Road Prices May Reach Rs 27 Lakh
When you add warranty packages, accessories and charging options, on-road prices could climb close to Rs 27 lakh depending on your choices. This means buyers should factor in these additional costs when planning their purchase.
The expanded lineup gives families more flexibility when choosing an electric MPV. The six-seater option appeals to those who want individual seats for better comfort, while the new GT Line and X-Line trims offer distinct styling for buyers seeking a more premium or sportier appearance.
