How Honda Activa Reached 50 Lakh Scooter Sales in Maharashtra Over 25 Years

Honda Activa has sold 5 million units in Maharashtra, India. The scooter took 25 years to reach this sales milestone. Maharashtra sells nearly 2 lakh Activas every year, with major cities such as Pune, Mumbai, Thane, Nagpur and Navi Mumbai driving this success. Honda operates over 700 sales and service points across Maharashtra to serve customers.

Mutsuo Usui, Director of Sales & Marketing at Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, commented on the achievement and said that the 5 million Activa sales in Maharashtra reflect the trust customers have placed in the brand over the last 25 years. He added that Maharashtra remains a dynamic market, and this milestone shows how dependable mobility continues to shape everyday commuting.

Engine Options

The Activa comes with two engine choices. Buyers can select the 110cc version, while the 125cc version is also available.

25-Year Anniversary Edition Launch

Honda launched the 25-Year Anniversary Editions in August 2025. The Activa 110 Anniversary Edition costs Rs 92,565 (ex-showroom, Delhi), while the Activa 125 Anniversary Edition costs Rs 97,270 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Both limited-edition models receive aesthetic enhancements, while the hardware, cycle parts and engine specifications remain the same as the standard models.

Activa 125 25-Year Anniversary Edition

The Activa 125 Anniversary Edition receives similar cosmetic updates as the Activa 110. However, the seat and inner panels come only in a black finish, unlike the Activa 110.

The scooter is powered by a 123.92cc single-cylinder PGM-Fi petrol engine that meets OBD-2B standards. Maximum power and peak torque remain unchanged from the standard model.

Activa 110 25-Year Anniversary Edition

The Activa 110 Anniversary Edition comes in two paint schemes: Pearl Siren Blue and Mat Steel Black Metallic. The model is based on the DLX trim.

It features tubeless tyres for safety, while a side-stand engine cut-off function is included. The Combined Braking System (CBS) also comes as standard.

The scooter is powered by a 109.5cc petrol engine that complies with OBD-2B emission standards. Power output and torque delivery remain unchanged compared to the standard model.

The scooter also features exclusive anniversary graphics on the body panels, while black chrome finishing appears at the front. A 25-year Anniversary logo is placed on the front panel. The scooter rides on alloy wheels finished in pyrite brown metallic colour. The inner panels and seat use a café-brown and black theme, depending on the scooter colour.
