Mahindra BE.06 Formula E Edition Unveiled: Performance EV Priced from Rs 23.69 Lakh

Mahindra BE.06 Formula E Edition Debuts in India with Performance Upgrades

Mahindra has revealed the BE.06 Formula E Edition at its Scream Electric event in Bengaluru, turning its Formula E racing presence into a road-ready showcase. This special version celebrates Mahindra’s continued involvement in the next-generation Formula E championship until 2030. It also positions the BE.06 as a hero product in the brand’s growing EV portfolio. The Formula E Edition is offered in two trims, FE2 and FE3. Prices start at Rs 23.69 lakh for the FE2 and Rs 24.49 lakh for the FE3. Bookings open on 14 January 2026, and customer deliveries will begin on 14 February 2026.

Both FE2 and FE3 use the larger 79 kWh battery pack that Mahindra offers for the BE.06. Power comes from a 210 kW motor that makes 282 bhp and 380 Nm of torque. This gives the SUV strong acceleration, quick initial response and confident mid-range pull. Long-distance trips become easier with 180 kW DC fast charging support. Under suitable conditions, the battery can charge from 20 percent to 80 percent in around 20 minutes, making highway stops short and practical.

Mahindra has tuned the chassis to keep up with the extra performance. The BE.06 Formula E Edition uses adaptive suspension and electric power steering with a variable gear ratio. This setup helps the SUV feel controlled at city speeds and steady on highways. A dedicated boost mode is also available for short bursts of power during overtakes. Multi-step regenerative braking and single pedal driving add efficiency while reducing effort in slow traffic. The 10 metre turning circle and cruise control aim to make everyday driving smoother.

The exterior design brings the Formula E theme to the road. A motorsport inspired livery runs across the bonnet, doors and fenders. FIA logos and Formula E branding appear inside and outside the cabin. The SUV sits on R20 alloy wheels that fill the arches well and give it a purposeful stance. LED DRLs, projector headlamps and a fixed glass infinity roof add to its sharp side profile. Small details such as night trail carpet lamps and exclusive trim highlights help the special edition stand out when viewed up close.

Inside, the cabin carries the same racing influence. A pair of 12.3 inch displays stretch across the dashboard and run Mahindra’s latest interface. The system supports wireless Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, built-in Amazon Alexa and OTT apps. The Sonic Studio audio system with Dolby Atmos is tuned to create a rich, layered sound experience. The FE3 trim adds Formula E themed animations, a special launch sequence and upgraded upholstery, giving it more visual distinction from the standard BE.06.

Mahindra has equipped the Formula E Edition with strong safety and convenience features. Level 2 ADAS, six airbags and a 360 degree camera are standard on both trims. The braking system uses brake by wire tech, all wheel disc brakes and an electronic parking brake. Driver drowsiness detection is also included. Comfort features include ventilated front seats, a powered driver seat with memory, dual zone climate control, ambient cabin lighting and a wireless phone charger. A front trunk, complete with a light and a drain hole, gives owners an extra storage option for wet or dirty gear.

The BE.06 Formula E Edition shows how Mahindra plans to use its motorsport involvement as more than just branding. Instead of offering a cosmetic update, the company has matched the racing inspired look with real performance hardware. The 79 kWh battery, 282 bhp motor and 180 kW fast charging make the SUV appealing to buyers who want speed and capability in an electric package. The Formula E connection also signals that Mahindra sees its electric future as something driven by technology, software and performance. Cabin features like the twin 12.3 inch displays, Dolby Atmos audio and the deeper ADAS suite turn the BE.06 Formula E Edition into a flagship for the BE range. If Mahindra maintains this mix of motorsport influence and strong tech, the BE brand could build a loyal following among early EV adopters.
