Top 10 Changes In New-Gen Hyundai Venue: Features & Specs Explained
Hyundai has officially revealed the new-generation Venue, bringing modern design, advanced technology, and upgraded safety to the compact SUV market. The new Venue will go on sale on November 4, with bookings already open for a token amount of Rs 25,000. Here are the 10 biggest changes that make the latest Venue a major step forward.
1. Dual 12.3-Inch Curved Displays
The biggest upgrade inside the cabin is the addition of dual 12.3-inch curved panoramic screens. One display serves as the infotainment system, while the other functions as the digital instrument cluster. This setup gives the Venue a premium, high-tech appeal similar to larger Hyundai models.
2. Larger Dimensions
The new Venue has grown 48 mm taller and 30 mm wider, with a 20 mm longer wheelbase than before. These changes improve shoulder and headroom for passengers while keeping the SUV under the four-meter mark for tax benefits.
3. Redesigned Dashboard and Console
The cabin gets a brand-new three-layer dashboard with horizontally stacked central AC vents connected to vertically aligned side vents. The center console, designed like a “coffee table,” now includes a wireless charger, two cup holders, a rotary drive mode selector, and an electronic parking brake.
4. New Steering Wheel and Interior Theme
The Venue features a new D-cut steering wheel with four dots symbolizing the letter “H.” The interior follows Hyundai’s H-architecture with a dual-tone finish in dark navy and dove grey, accented by a terrazzo-textured crash pad for a modern look.
5. Sharper Exterior Styling
Outside, the Venue looks bolder with a Dark Chrome Radiator Grille, Quad Beam LED headlamps, and Twin Horn LED DRLs. The rear features a connected tail lamp setup, bridge-style roof rails, and new 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.
6. Level 2 ADAS and Safety Upgrades
Hyundai has introduced Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) — a major upgrade in this segment. The Venue also includes six airbags as standard, a 360-degree camera, front parking sensors, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and Hill-Hold Assist for improved safety.
7. Diesel Automatic Transmission Option
The 1.5-liter CRDi diesel engine now comes with a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox, replacing the older manual-only setup. This gearbox offers a smoother and more refined drive compared to AMT systems found in some rival diesel SUVs.
8. Improved Rear Seat Comfort
Rear-seat comfort has been enhanced with 2-step reclining seats, rear window sunshades, scooped front seatbacks, and wider door openings. These changes make long drives more comfortable and improve overall practicality.
9. New Variant Line-Up
Hyundai has simplified its variant naming with a new HX lineup, replacing the old E, S, and SX trims. The new range runs from HX2 to HX10, making it easier for buyers to understand feature levels.
10. Added Premium Features
The Venue now offers premium touches such as front ventilated seats, a powered driver’s seat, and four new color options — Mystic Sapphire, Hazel Blue, Dragon Red, and more. These upgrades bring luxury-level comfort to the compact SUV segment.
The New Standard for Compact SUVs
The new Hyundai Venue sets a fresh benchmark in its class. With a wider body, longer wheelbase, Level 2 ADAS, and dual 12.3-inch displays, Hyundai has addressed the previous model’s biggest limitations — interior space and modern tech. The addition of a diesel automatic also gives it a smoother, more premium driving experience. Altogether, the new Venue is now one of the strongest contenders in the compact SUV market, ready to challenge the Tata Nexon and Maruti Brezza head-on.
