Flying Flea S6 Electric Scrambler Revealed in India Ahead of 2026 Launch

Royal Enfield unveils the Flying Flea S6 electric scrambler - 19/18-inch wheels, long-travel suspension, and a magnesium battery casing

Introduction

Royal Enfield’s electric sub-brand Flying Flea has revealed its new electric scrambler, the S6, at MotoVerse 2025 in Goa. This is the brand’s second electric model after the C6, and it is confirmed for a late 2026 launch in India and international markets. The company has stated that the S6 is not a concept and is already part of its production roadmap. The motorcycle aims to serve riders who want an electric bike with a simple design that can handle daily rides along with mild off-road runs. The S6 carries design inspiration from the original Flying Flea motorcycles used during wartime, blending that history with modern engineering and updated features suitable for today’s conditions.

Design and Off-Road Focus

The S6 takes a different direction from the city oriented C6. It uses a scrambler format with a compact, functional layout built for light trails and mixed terrain. The design draws from the wartime Flying Flea, which was made for quick movement and rough surfaces. The new version uses that idea and turns it into a practical electric scrambler for everyday use. The motorcycle runs a staggered wheel setup with a 19 inch front wheel and an 18 inch rear wheel. Long travel suspension and upside down front forks support the chassis. A chain final drive shows its intention for trail riding, and the frame has been tuned to handle surfaces like gravel, broken paths and soft off-road tracks, areas where most electric two wheelers struggle.

Technology and Battery Management

One of the key engineering features is the magnesium battery housing. It uses large cooling fins to help control battery temperature and keep overall weight down, which is important for off-road balance and agility. The battery and motor sit close together, giving the bike a clean side profile. The S6 adds modern technology through a circular touchscreen display. The shape pays tribute to older Flying Flea gauges, but the display itself is fully digital with a high resolution TFT screen. It offers navigation, ride data, system alerts and diagnostic information. A Qualcomm Snapdragon QWM2290 processor powers 4G, Wi Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. This setup allows riders to connect smartphones and wearables for checking battery status, choosing ride modes, remote monitoring and using security features.

Editor's Note

The launch of the Flying Flea S6 shows how Royal Enfield is approaching electric motorcycles with a clear, long term plan. Instead of introducing one electric model, the brand is building a separate electric line under Flying Flea to cover different segments. The S6 targets the adventure and lifestyle category, which is already strong for Royal Enfield in its ICE lineup. By giving the S6 long travel suspension, a chain drive and wheels suited for light trails, Royal Enfield is addressing the needs of riders who want an electric motorcycle that does more than city riding. The use of a magnesium battery case and a modern Qualcomm processor highlights the company’s investment in proper EV engineering. This mix of heritage design, updated tech and segment focused planning gives the S6 a clear identity and places it in a good position as more brands prepare their own electric bikes for India and global markets.
