Tata Motors Unveils Production-Ready Tata Sierra Ahead of India Launch on November 25, 2025

Tata Motors has unveiled the production version of the new Sierra, giving the public its clearest look at the returning SUV. The reveal happened at the company’s dedicated Sierra Brand Day, confirming the model will officially launch on November 25, 2025. The new Sierra will be positioned above the Curvv in Tata’s lineup and will be available in both ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) and electric (EV) versions.

Design Blends Heritage with Modernity

The final production model stays rooted in the original Sierra’s design from 1991 while adding modern design elements. The exterior features a distinctive three-quarter glasshouse and a panoramic roof. It includes modern touches like flush-type door handles and a full-width LED DRL that forms a single curve across the fascia. The rear lighting signature is mirrored with a slim light bar. Other exterior highlights include 19-inch alloy wheels, a clamshell-shaped bonnet, wide rear haunches, a muscular black front grille, hidden wipers, and a powered tailgate. The black-painted roof finisher and gloss black cladding complete the look.

Triple Screen Interior and Premium Features

The interior of the new Sierra is highly modern, featuring a triple screen setup. This includes a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and a separate 12.3-inch display for the front passenger. The SUV will also come equipped with a 12-speaker JBL Black audio system that supports Dolby Atmos.

Powertrain Options Confirmed

The ICE-powered Sierra will be offered with two engine choices: a 1.5L petrol engine and a 1.5L diesel engine. The electric version will use two different battery packs, with a claimed driving range of over 500 km on a single charge.

Sierra Brand Day Collaborations

The unveiling was supported by several brand collaborations that highlighted the Sierra’s new identity. Delhi Watch Company created a limited-run Sierra-inspired timepiece. Hip-hop artist Divine featured the Sierra in his new track, “You & I”. Streetwear label Gully Labs reworked its Dvaita sneaker with Sierra-inspired detailing, and fashion house Huemn added a capsule collection of apparel. Luxury design brand Nappa Dori contributed a travel-focused range, and Starbucks unveiled a Sierra-themed tumbler.

Commenting on the launch, Martin Uhlarik, Vice President and Head of Global Design, Tata Motors, said,

For many, the Sierra evokes an everlasting longing—a silhouette glimpsed on the horizon, a feeling that lingers long after the journey ends. Today, that memory transforms into a bold vision for the future. With its timeless silhouette and indomitable spirit, the new Sierra pays homage to its roots while fearlessly embracing what lies ahead.”
