Vida VX2 Go 3.4 kWh Variant Launched At Rs 1.02 Lakh With BaaS Plan
Hero MotoCorp Expands Vida Lineup with New VX2 Go 3.4 kWh Variant
Hero MotoCorp’s electric mobility brand Vida has introduced a new electric scooter, the VX2 Go 3.4 kWh, at a price of Rs. 1.02 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). This new variant expands the VX2 range for buyers who want a longer real-world range without a major jump in cost.
The scooter was unveiled by Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, highlighting Hero MotoCorp’s growing focus on sustainable mobility. The new VX2 Go 3.4 kWh features dual removable batteries that deliver a real-world range of up to 100 km per charge, offering a practical balance between daily commuting needs and performance.
Power and Performance
The VX2 Go 3.4 kWh produces a peak power output of 6 kW (8 hp) and 26 Nm of torque, enabling quick acceleration in city traffic and stable climbs even when carrying a pillion or luggage. The scooter’s top speed is 70 kmph, which suits urban riding conditions while still offering enough headroom for short highway stretches and ring-road commutes.
Riders can switch between Eco and Ride modes to suit traffic or range requirements. The dual removable battery system allows convenient charging indoors using a standard plug, which is especially useful for apartment residents who don’t have access to a fixed charging point.
Comfort and Features
The VX2 Go offers a flat floorboard, 27.2 litres of under-seat storage, and a well-padded seat for added comfort. These design elements focus on convenience for everyday use, making the scooter practical for grocery runs and city commutes.
The console and switchgear match other models in the VX2 range, and selected trims also include Bluetooth connectivity and navigation features, meeting the expectations of today’s connected riders.
Battery-as-a-Service for Flexibility
Vida continues to expand its Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) program to make electric scooters more affordable. The BaaS plan starts at Rs. 60,000, with a pay-per-kilometre cost of Rs. 0.90. Under this model, customers can subscribe to the battery instead of purchasing it outright, which reduces upfront costs and adds flexibility for those with varying usage patterns.
This system benefits riders who may not use their scooter daily, allowing them to control expenses month by month. For those with regular commutes of 25 to 35 km per day, purchasing the scooter outright still offers strong value.
Range, Availability, and Network
The VX2 Go 3.4 kWh variant sits between the VX2 Go 2.2 kWh and the VX2 Plus, giving customers a clear upgrade path within the same design platform. Vida claims the new model will comfortably cover most daily travel distances in cities while leaving a range buffer at the end of the day.
Deliveries are set to begin in November 2025, with availability expanding through the festive season and beyond. Hero MotoCorp supports its Vida scooters with an expanding ecosystem of over 4,600 public charging points and 700 service centres across India, ensuring better accessibility and customer support.
Practical Value and Market Position
The VX2 Go 3.4 kWh is positioned as a value-focused urban scooter, tackling two major challenges for new EV buyers—range anxiety and charging access. Its dual removable batteries address charging issues for apartment users without dedicated sockets, while its affordable pricing and BaaS plan lower the entry cost for budget-conscious riders.
With this launch, the VX2 family now includes:
- VX2 Go 2.2 kWh (shorter range, lower price)
- VX2 Go 3.4 kWh (balanced range and cost)
- VX2 Plus (premium features and longer range)
Analysis and Outlook
The VX2 Go 3.4 kWh strengthens Vida’s position in the fast-growing entry-level electric scooter market, where brands are competing to deliver higher range and performance at practical price points.
The combination of dual removable batteries, balanced performance, and flexible ownership options makes the VX2 Go 3.4 kWh an appealing choice for first-time EV buyers. Its 6 kW motor and 26 Nm torque provide eager acceleration without draining the battery quickly, and the 70 kmph top speed fits perfectly with city riding norms.
If Hero MotoCorp maintains steady deliveries and reliable service, the VX2 Go 3.4 kWh could become the go-to choice in the Vida lineup for city riders looking for an easy, efficient, and affordable electric scooter.
