New Skoda Kushaq Goes Into Production in India Deliveries Begin Next Month: All You Need To Know
Skoda has officially started production of the updated Kushaq SUV in India, it is building the new model at its manufacturing plant near Pune. After its global reveal earlier this year the SUV is now moving closer to customers. Skoda has confirmed that deliveries of the new Kushaq will begin from March 2026. The update brings fresh styling new comfort features and important safety improvements while keeping the driving experience that made the Kushaq popular in India.
Cabin Gets Premium Comfort and New Technology
One of the biggest upgrades can be seen inside the cabin. Skoda has added several features that are usually found in more expensive cars, like Selected variants now offer a panoramic sunroof which allows more natural light inside the cabin.
This SUV also comes with large 25.6 cm touchscreen infotainment system with Google based services. A fully digital 26.03 cm driver display provides important driving information clearly. Front seats now come with ventilation and electric adjustment for added comfort during long drives.
A standout addition is the rear seat massage function which is rarely seen in this segment. Skoda has also improved the sound system by adding a subwoofer for better audio quality. Front parking sensors are now included to make city parking easier.
Fresh Exterior Updates Add Sportier Look
Notable design changes made, the front section now features updated headlights along with a redesigned grille. LED light strips connect the daytime running lights which give the SUV a modern appearance. At the rear the Skoda lettering now lights up across the tailgate and the SUV gets new LED tail lamps. Buyers choosing the Monte Carlo variant will get a sportier design with black exterior elements and red accents on the grille.
Engine Options Remain Powerful and Efficient
Skoda continues to offer the Kushaq with two turbo petrol engine choices. Buyers can select either the 1.0 liter engine or the more powerful 1.5 liter turbo petrol unit and both engines are designed to balance performance and fuel efficiency.
Transmission options include a manual gearbox and automatic choices. The smaller engine now also gets a new 8 speed automatic gearbox which should improve smoothness during daily driving especially in traffic conditions.
Improved Safety With Better Braking
The 1.5 liter variant now comes with rear disc brakes instead of drum brakes. This upgrade improves braking performance and enhances overall driving confidence. These updates further strengthen the Kushaq’s reputation as one of the safer compact SUVs in its segment.
The Kushaq has played an important role in Skoda’s growth in India with the brand selling more than 1.17 lakh cars in 2025. This new update shows Skoda’s focus on offering premium features while keeping prices competitive through local manufacturing.
By adding luxury features like rear seat massage function along with improved safety and smoother automatic transmission Skoda aims to stand out in the crowded compact SUV segment.
For buyers looking for a safe family SUV with modern technology and a European driving feel the updated Skoda Kushaq becomes an even stronger option when deliveries begin in March 2026.
