2026 Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 Launched At Rs 2.49 Lakh With New Apex Variant
2026 Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 Launched: New Apex Variant, Better Tyres, Updated Ride Modes
Royal Enfield has introduced the 2026 Guerrilla 450 in India with a starting price of Rs. 2.49 lakh (ex-showroom). This update arrives less than two years after the motorcycle first went on sale. The biggest highlight is the new Apex variant, which focuses more on road performance with changes to ergonomics and components.
Apex Variant Brings a More Engaging Riding Position
With the new update, the Guerrilla 450 now offers a sharper riding experience. The handlebar has been lowered and repositioned, creating a more forward-leaning stance. This setup improves control and makes the motorcycle feel more responsive, especially while cornering.
Major Tyre Upgrade Improves Grip
One of the most important updates comes in the form of tyres. The Apex variant now uses 17-inch Vredestein Centuro ST tyres, which are more road-focused and provide better grip in both dry and wet conditions.
For the other variants:
- Dash and Flash models now get updated CEAT Gripp XL RE tyres
- These feature a revised compound and tread pattern for improved performance
This change directly addresses one of the key concerns from the earlier model.
Ride Modes Updated with Memory Function
Royal Enfield has refined the ride modes across the lineup. The Street and Sport modes are now smoother and come with a memory function, meaning the motorcycle retains the last selected mode even after being switched off.
New Colours and Visual Enhancements
The Apex variant gets new colour options:
- Red
- Black
- Green
These are paired with added visual elements such as:
- Rim tapes (standard)
- Sculpted rear seat cowl
- Colour-matched front cowl
The Dash variant now gets a new Twilight Blue shade and also includes:
- Hand guards
- Headlight grille (standard)
Engine and Hardware Remain Unchanged
Mechanically, the motorcycle stays the same. It continues with the 452 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder Sherpa engine, producing:
- 40 PS power
- 40 Nm torque
This engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox, while the steel twin spar frame and chassis setup remain unchanged.
Features, Connectivity and Ownership Benefits
All variants continue to get the 4-inch round TFT Tripper Dash, which includes:
- Google Maps navigation
- Smartphone connectivity
- Turn-by-turn directions and ride data
Royal Enfield is also offering:
- 7-year extended warranty
- Roadside assistance
Additionally, the brand has partnered with Fairtex to introduce:
- Special edition riding gear
- A custom-built Guerrilla 450
Bookings are now open across India, with test rides and deliveries starting from March 31, 2026.
