Mahindra XEV 9e CineLuxe Edition Launched in India with Premium Cabin and 79 kWh Battery
Mahindra has introduced a new special version of its flagship electric SUV called the Mahindra XEV 9e CineLuxe Edition in India. The new edition is priced at ₹29.35 lakh ex showroom and focuses mainly on improving cabin experience and premium styling while keeping the same proven electric setup.
This limited edition model is based on the top Pack Three variant, which uses the larger 79 kWh battery pack. Bookings for the CineLuxe Edition will begin from March 2 2026, while deliveries are scheduled to start from March 10th 2026 across India.
What Makes the CineLuxe Edition Special?
The CineLuxe Edition mainly brings visual upgrades and comfort focused improvements instead of mechanical changes. Mahindra is offering this version in two exclusive exterior shades which include Satin Black and Satin White. Inside the cabin buyers get new Chestnut Brown and Nocturne Black smooth grain leatherette upholstery, which gives the SUV a more premium feel.
The highlight of this edition is the entertainment focused interior setup. The cabin features a triple HD screen layout along with a 16 speaker Harman Kardon sound system supported by Dolby Atmos. Mahindra also includes the large Infinity Roof and customizable ambient lighting which improves the overall in cabin experience during long drives.
Features Carried Over from the Pack Three Variant
Since the CineLuxe Edition is based on the flagship Pack Three trim, it continues to offer all advanced features already available in the standard model.
Key technologies include the Straight Ahead VisionX AR head up display, Eye Dentity driver and occupant monitoring system, Hands Free Park with Auto Park Assist, and the Secure 360 safety system.
The SUV also includes practical smart features such as Camp Mode, Keep Mode and PawPal HVAC settings which allow climate control operation even when the vehicle is parked. Buyers also get Custom Drive Modes, Digital Key access and personalized driver profiles.
Where the CineLuxe Edition Fits in the Lineup
The Mahindra XEV 9e range is currently available in multiple variants including Pack One, Pack Two and Pack Three options with both 59 kWh and 79 kWh battery choices. Prices for the standard lineup range between ₹21.90 lakh and ₹30.50 lakh ex showroom.
Interestingly the CineLuxe Edition costs slightly less than the regular Pack Three variant while offering exclusive interior and exterior upgrades. This makes it an attractive option for buyers looking for a premium experience without moving to a higher price bracket.
Battery Performance and Driving Range
Powering the CineLuxe Edition is the same 79 kWh battery pack paired with a rear wheel drive setup. Mahindra claims a real world driving range of more than 500 km on a single charge, which makes the SUV suitable for both daily commuting and long distance travel.
The vehicle also offers three levels of regenerative braking, helping recover energy during deceleration. Drivers can choose between five driving modes which include Default, Range, Everyday, Race, and Snow, allowing the SUV to adapt to different road and weather conditions.
Charging Options and Ownership Benefits
Mahindra offers optional AC home charging solutions for buyers. Customers can choose a 7.2 kW home charger priced at ₹50,000 or an 11.2 kW charger priced at ₹75,000.
The company also provides a lifetime battery warranty, although this benefit applies only to the first owner and private vehicle registration.
Limited Availability
Mahindra has confirmed that the XEV 9e CineLuxe Edition will be produced in limited numbers. This approach helps position the model as a premium lifestyle focused version of the electric SUV rather than a regular variant update.
Expert View
The CineLuxe Edition shows Mahindra’s strategy of adding value through comfort and technology instead of changing mechanical components that already perform well. The XEV 9e already offers strong range and advanced safety systems, so this edition focuses on improving ownership experience inside the cabin.
Special editions like this also help attract buyers who want a more premium electric SUV without stepping into a higher price segment. With its balanced mix of technology, range and luxury focused upgrades, the XEV 9e CineLuxe Edition strengthens Mahindra’s position in India’s growing premium EV market.
