Next-Gen Hyundai i20 Spotted Testing with Dual Screens and Updated Design Ahead of 2027 Launch

Hyundai has started testing the next generation i20 hatchback, and recent spy shots show the car being pushed through heavy snow in Scandinavia where extreme cold helps engineers test engines, brakes and electronic systems under stress. Car companies usually take vehicles to such places before launch because snow and ice quickly expose weak points. From those images, some early details are now visible, and if timelines stay on track, the new i20 could reach India around 2027.

Cabin Looks More Digital This Time

The biggest change is happening inside the car, as Hyundai is clearly working to make the cabin feel more premium and more digital than before. The new i20 is expected to get a large curved display which combines two screens into one smooth panel, where one 12.3-inch screen handles infotainment like music maps and phone connectivity while another 12.3-inch screen sits in front of the driver to show speed fuel level and trip details, and this setup is similar to what we usually see in bigger and more expensive cars.
