Renault Plans To Launch Four Models By 2030, Three Of Which Are SUVs Coming By Next Year
Renault has confirmed plans to launch four models by 2030. Three of these models will be SUVs and will go on sale by next year. After a largely muted past five years, Renault is doubling down on the Indian market.
1. All-New Renault Duster Launching March 17, 2026
The Renault Duster is making a comeback in the third generation. The company skipped the second generation in India. The launch is scheduled for March 17, 2026.
Renault has re-engineered the third-generation model for India to give it more features than any other market globally. This shows the company is serious about strengthening its presence in India.
Premium Features In The New Duster
The India-spec all-new Duster comes loaded with premium features:
• Powered tailgate
• Panoramic sunroof
• Electrically adjustable front seats
• Ventilated front seats
• 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster with full map view
Engine Options
The new Duster will have a choice of engines:
• 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine
• 1.3-litre turbocharged petrol engine
A 1.8-litre engine-based hybrid system will follow towards the end of the year.
2. Renault Bridger Compact SUV Launching Late 2027
The Renault Bridger, already showcased in concept form, will be the French automaker's compact SUV. It is designed to take on the Mahindra Vision S production version as well as popular existing models such as the Tata Nexon and Hyundai Venue.
Design And Specifications
The Bridger could become one of the larger models in its segment. It will have a boxy shape aimed at delivering strong road presence while maximizing interior space.
Key specifications include:
• Ground clearance of around 200 mm
• Boot space of around 400 litres
• Around 200 mm of knee room in the rear seats
Renault is aiming for strong rear-seat comfort with this model.
Engine And Powertrain Options
The company is expected to launch it with:
• All-new 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine
• 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine
The launch is planned for late 2027. Renault also plans to introduce a hybrid system and a fully electric powertrain in a phased manner starting from 2028.
3. Three-Row SUV Coming End Of 2026
A three-row SUV derived from the all-new Renault Duster will follow towards the end of the year. It will feature a different design aimed at projecting more elegance and refinement. The model will carry a different name, although its connection with the two-row Duster will still be noticeable through its platform and overall design.
Space And Comfort
While the all-new Duster is not the most spacious model in its class, the three-row model is expected to offer more room in the second row. The third row should accommodate two adults, although space may be slightly tight for longer journeys.
The three-row version will also use more soft-touch materials, higher-quality plastics, and additional comfort and convenience features.
Powertrain Options
Renault may offer the three-row model with:
• 1.3-litre turbocharged petrol engine
• 1.8-litre petrol-electric hybrid system
