BMW X6 M60i xDrive Launched In India At Rs 1.77 Crore With Luxury Features

BMW X6 M60i xDrive arrives in India with 530 hp, AWD, luxury features, and a Rs. 1.77 crore price tag.

BMW India has launched the new X6 M60i xDrive, its high-performance coupe-SUV. The model arrives in India as a fully built unit (CBU) and is priced at Rs. 1.77 crore (ex-showroom). It is now available at BMW dealerships across the country.

Powerful Engine 

Under the hood, the X6 M60i xDrive has a 4.4-litre V8 petrol engine paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system. Together, they produce 530 hp and 750 Nm of torque. The SUV uses an eight-speed Steptronic Sport automatic gearbox that sends power to all four wheels.

BMW claims this SUV can go from 0 to 100 kmph in just 4.3 seconds, and its top speed is 250 kmph. The brand also gets BMW's xDrive all-wheel-drive system, which can send more power to the rear wheels when needed. It also features an M Sport differential, Adaptive M suspension, and Integral Active Steering. This steering system turns the rear wheels in the opposite direction at low speeds to help with parking and in the same direction at higher speeds to improve stability.

Sporty and Dark Exterior

The X6 M60i xDrive looks very sporty with its large matte black kidney grille and slim adaptive LED headlights. The headlights feature arrow-shaped LED daytime running lights. Many parts of the car, including the mirrors, side skirts, and rear spoiler, are finished in glossy black. At the rear, it features sleek tail lamps and a quad-pipe M Sport exhaust system that delivers a sporty exhaust note.

The X6 M60i xDrive rides on 21-inch M light-alloy wheels with run-flat tyres. Buyers can choose from colours such as Aventurine Red, Manhattan Metallic, Brooklyn Grey, Black Sapphire, Mineral White, and Isle of Man Green. BMW also offers more than 40 optional paint finishes and premium leather upholstery choices, including Ivory White and Coffee.

Luxury and Smart Features Inside

Inside the cabin, you will find a 12.3-inch digital screen for the driver and a 14.9-inch control screen, both housed under a single curved glass panel. The dashboard features fine wood trim and an ambient light bar with the "M" logo. The front seats are more comfortable, with electric adjustment, lumbar support, and memory functions. You can even add a massage function with eight different programs.

It also features soft-close doors, M seat belts, and a Harman Kardon surround sound system with 16 speakers. Other smart features include a head-up display, navigation, and an intelligent personal assistant that works with BMW OS 8.5.

Safety and Technology

The X6 M60i xDrive is packed with technology features, includes a 360-degree camera system that provides a clear view of the area around the vehicle. The SUV also gets a Reversing Assistant that can remember the last 200 meters of the route and automatically steer the vehicle along the same path while reversing.

For safety, it comes with six airbags, ABS with Brake Assist, and driver assistance systems such as Dynamic Stability Control, Dynamic Traction Control, and Cornering Brake Control. It also gets side-impact protection, a tyre pressure monitoring system, and ISOFIX child seat mounts.

Market Position

The BMW X6 M60i arrives in India as a Completely Built Unit (CBU), which means it is imported as a fully assembled vehicle. Like other fully imported luxury cars, it is subject to import duties and taxes that generally make such models more expensive in India than in many international markets.

The launch also marks the return of the X6 to India after it was discontinued in January 2023. With its return, BMW once again offers a flagship coupe-SUV in its India lineup. The X6 M60i is positioned in the premium performance SUV segment, where it rivals the Audi SQ8, Mercedes-AMG GLE Coupe, and Porsche Cayenne Coupe.
