Hyundai Venue Spotted Undisguised Ahead of November 4 Launch
Undisguised Hyundai Venue reveals styling and features to rival Nexon, Brezza, XUV 3XO
Hyundai’s all-new Venue has been spotted testing without camouflage on Indian roads just days before its official launch on November 4. The second-generation Venue looks completely new and is designed to take on the Tata Nexon, Maruti Brezza, and Mahindra XUV 3XO. The current Venue has been on sale since 2019, and this redesign marks the biggest update yet.
The front of the new Venue features vertically stacked LED headlamps with C-shaped daytime running lights connected by a light bar, similar to the Creta. For India, Hyundai added chrome studs to the grille instead of the all-black design used in South Korea. This change reflects Indian buyers’ preference for chrome finishes. A large silver skid plate at the bottom gives the SUV a tougher and more rugged appearance than before.
From the side, the new Venue looks boxier and more muscular. The fenders are now squared-off, and the lower body has thick black cladding. The new alloy wheels have an aerodynamic look inspired by the Creta Electric. A silver insert on the C-pillar carries the Venue badge, adding a premium touch. The overall stance looks more rugged than the Brezza’s simple lines and sharper than the Nexon’s curvy design.
At the rear, the Venue gets connected LED tail lamps running across the width of the car, a design now common in this segment. The slim units replace the older, bulkier tail lights. L-shaped reflectors sit on the lower corners of the bumper, and a large roof spoiler tops off the tailgate. The clean, horizontal styling gives the back a wider and more modern look.
Inside, Hyundai has confirmed two large 12.3-inch curved displays for the new Venue. These include the infotainment touchscreen and the digital instrument cluster, both larger than those on the Nexon or Brezza. Spy photos also show a new dashboard layout, new steering wheel, and updated center console. Top variants are expected to feature a panoramic sunroof, though slightly smaller than the Creta’s unit.
The new Venue will come with Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, or ADAS, similar to the Mahindra XUV 3XO. This includes features like adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and collision warning. The Nexon and Brezza do not yet offer ADAS, giving Hyundai a clear advantage. Other features expected include a 360-degree camera, ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control, and an eight-speaker Bose audio system for higher trims.
Under the hood, the Venue will continue with the same set of engines. The 1.2-litre petrol produces 83 horsepower, while the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol makes 120 horsepower and is paired with either a manual or seven-speed DCT gearbox. The 1.5-litre diesel engine generates 115 horsepower with a manual transmission. Hyundai may also introduce a six-speed torque converter automatic for the diesel, which would offer smoother performance than the AMT in the XUV 3XO.
Prices are expected to start around ₹8 lakh after the recent GST rate cuts, up from the current base price of ₹7.26 lakh. The top-end variants could reach ₹14 lakh. The Nexon starts at ₹7.32 lakh and goes up to ₹14.05 lakh, while the Brezza is priced between ₹8.26 lakh and ₹13.01 lakh. The XUV 3XO and Kia Sonet fall in a similar range. This keeps the new Venue competitive in the compact SUV market.
Hyundai is also preparing an updated Venue N Line with sportier styling and exhaust tuning. It is likely to launch a few months after the standard model, possibly in early 2026. The current N Line accounts for about 15 percent of Venue sales, showing demand for sportier versions among younger buyers.
The Venue currently sells between 9,000 and 11,000 units every month, ranking behind the Nexon and Brezza in sales. With a new design, more features, and advanced technology, Hyundai aims to close that gap. The official launch on November 4 will confirm whether the updated Venue can challenge the Nexon’s lead and boost Hyundai’s position in India’s growing compact SUV market.
