Kia Carens Clavis EV Launched In HTX E Trims, Priced At Rs 19.99 Lakh
The Kia Carens Clavis EV HTX E comes with a 42 kWh battery pack, while the HTX E [ER] variant is offered with a larger 51.4 kWh battery.
Kia India has expanded its Carens Clavis EV range just in time for the festive season with two new versions - HTX E and HTX E [ER]. Priced at Rs 19.99 lakh and Rs 21.99 lakh respectively, these new models make the electric midsize car more accessible to more people. Since its launch a few months ago, this electric car has been well received by customers and there is growing interest in cars that offer space and modern features.
The HTX E version of the Carens Clavis EV comes with a 42 kWh battery pack that gives a range of 404 km on a single charge. For those who need to travel longer, the HTX E [ER] model has a 51.4 kWh battery unit that gives a range of 490 km. Both these new models fit between the HTK+ and HTX models in the existing lineup and offer a balanced choice for buyers. They also come with many new features like a panoramic sunroof that makes the cabin feel more open and LED lights across all three rows that improves visibility and adds a touch of modernity.
Other notable features in these new electric Carens models include automatic window control for all windows, wireless charger for mobile devices, dual tone steering wheel that can be adjusted for tilt and reach, comfortable leatherette seats, air purifier with virus protection for a healthier cabin environment, multi-color ambient lighting with footwell illumination, seat-back folding table and solar glass that makes the passenger experience more convenient and enjoyable for everyone.
This electric car also comes with modern technologies like a 26.6-inch dual panoramic display that combines a touchscreen for entertainment and a separate screen for the driver’s information. It has 90 connected car functions that offers various smart features and controls. A suite of Level 2 ADAS features is also part of the package that provides advanced safety and driver assistance. The electric motors available in 99 kW and 126 kW options both deliver 255 Nm of torque that gives responsive acceleration and smooth driving performance which is a key benefit of electric powertrains.
Both new models support fast charging and can charge the battery from 10% to 80% in just 39 minutes which is very convenient for quick top-ups. For safety Kia has included 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Control, Hill Start Assist and 18 other advanced safety features that provides high level of protection for all occupants. Kia also supports the Carens Clavis EV with an electric vehicle ecosystem and offers access to over 11,000 charging points through the K-Charge platform on the MyKia app. The platform provides live charger availability and route planning and over 250 EV-ready workshops across India that makes electric vehicle ownership easy.
Kia Drive Green lets owners track their CO2 savings and participate in digital tree planting programs, connect drivers with environmental initiatives. With these new additions, the Carens Clavis EV lineup now has six variants: HTK+, HTX E, HTX, HTX E [ER], HTX [ER], and HTX+ [ER].
