KTM 390 Adventure and Adventure X Become Costlier with New Price Revision

KTM has increased the prices of its 390 Adventure motorcycle range by up to Rs 27,000. This is the first major price change after the GST 2.0 update, which raised taxation on two wheelers above 350cc to 40 per cent. KTM absorbed the higher tax during the festive season, which helped boost sales. The updated prices are now in effect across India.

New KTM 390 Adventure Prices

The standard KTM 390 Adventure has received the highest revision with a hike of Rs 27,000. Its new ex showroom price now stands at Rs 3.95 lakh. The more affordable KTM 390 Adventure X is costlier by Rs 22,410 and now carries an ex showroom price of Rs 3.26 lakh.

KTM 390 Adventure X ₹3,03,590 ₹3,26,000 ₹22,410

No Mechanical or Feature Changes

KTM has not updated the engine or the features of the 390 Adventure range. Both models continue with the 398.63cc single cylinder liquid cooled LC4C engine. It produces 45.3 bhp and 39 Nm of peak torque. The engine works with a 6 speed gearbox that includes a slip and assist clutch and a bi directional quickshifter.

Feature highlights remain the same. Both bikes offer a 5 inch colour TFT screen, ride by wire, traction control, cruise control and cornering ABS. The standard model also keeps its premium hardware such as the 19 inch front and 17 inch rear tubeless spoke wheels and adjustable suspension.

Market Impact and Competition

The new prices place the KTM 390 Adventure in a higher bracket. The standard model now touches an on road price close to Rs 5 lakh in many cities. This positions it as a premium option in the sub 400cc adventure segment.

The KTM 390 Adventure X now sits closer in pricing to the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450. The Himalayan offers a bigger engine and strong off road focus, which may attract buyers looking for pure adventure performance. However, KTM still holds an edge with its advanced electronic package, including traction control and cornering ABS.

The 390 Adventure X remains a strong value choice for riders who want KTM performance without the cost of adjustable suspension and spoke wheels.
