Mahindra’s Next Electric SUV Teased for November 26: Affordable BE 6 Trim Possible

Introduction

Mahindra and Mahindra has announced that a new electric SUV will be revealed on November 26, 2025. The launch takes place one day before the debut of the XEV 9S and is part of the company’s “Scream Electric” event in Bengaluru. The teaser images point strongly toward this new model being another version of the existing BE 6 electric SUV.

What the Teaser Reveals

The design details shown in the teaser match the styling of the BE 6, which suggests that this is not a completely new SUV. Instead, Mahindra may be preparing to introduce a special edition or a more budget-friendly variant of the BE 6.

One possible option is a “Formula Edition,” since Mahindra’s teaser uses the line “Get ready to drive the winning formula.” This may reference the company’s involvement in Formula E.

Another possibility is the launch of a new entry-level trim. This theory is backed by the fact that the teaser does not show the C-shaped LED daytime running lights that are a signature feature of the current BE 6. Removing such features could help reduce costs and make room for a variant priced below the current base model, which starts at Rs 18.90 lakh ex showroom.

Context of the Launch Event

This unveiling is part of a larger plan that includes the debut of the Mahindra XEV 9S on November 27, 2025. The XEV 9S will be Mahindra’s first fully electric three-row SUV and will draw inspiration from the XUV.e8 concept. Both the BE 6 and the upcoming XEV 9S are based on Mahindra’s dedicated INGLO skateboard platform. The XEV 9S is expected to deliver a real-world driving range of more than 500 km.

Editor's Analysis:

Mahindra’s decision to introduce a new BE 6 variant just one day before the XEV 9S debut suggests a clear strategy to serve multiple price segments in the electric SUV space. A more affordable BE 6 variant would help attract buyers who find the current Rs 18.90 lakh starting price out of reach. This could increase demand and strengthen the BE lineup.

At the same time, the launch of the premium, three-row XEV 9S will position Mahindra at the upper end of the EV market. The model will showcase the full capability of the INGLO platform, especially with its expected 500 km driving range.

This combined approach ensures Mahindra remains competitive in both entry-level and high-end electric SUV categories, helping the company grow its presence in India’s rapidly expanding EV market.
