Tata Sierra Teased Ahead of India Launch on November 25

Tata Sierra is coming soon – Launch confirmed on November 25

Tata Motors has officially released the first teaser of the new Sierra SUV. According to the company, the model will be launched on November 25, 2025. Bringing back the once-popular “Sierra” name, this time Tata has planned it as a mid-size SUV that will slot between the Curve and the Harrier.

This time, the Sierra will come in two variants: electric (EV) and petrol/diesel (ICE). The ICE version is expected to arrive first.

Engine and performance details

Tata is currently developing multiple versions of its 1.5-litre engine family. These include a naturally aspirated petrol, a turbocharged TGDi petrol, and a diesel engine.

The new turbo engine is expected to deliver around 168 PS of power and 280 Nm of torque. It will be paired with both 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmissions.

Electric version details

The Sierra EV is said to be based on the existing Harrier EV platform. It could come with two battery pack options, with the larger one expected to offer a range of over 500 km.

It is also likely to support fast charging and bi-directional charging.

Design highlights

In terms of design, the wrapped rear glass panel from the old Sierra model makes a comeback, but this time with a more modern and aerodynamic look.

The SUV gets a bold stance with square-shaped wheel arches, an LED light bar at the rear, and split headlamps at the front.

Interior features

The interior has been completely modernized. The dashboard will feature three screens — one for the driver, one for the infotainment system, and one for the front passenger.

Features such as a dual-tone interior, ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, ventilated front seats, and a Harman audio system are likely to be offered.

Safety and tech

The new Sierra will come equipped with Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, an electronic parking brake, six airbags, and electronic stability control. Additionally, it will offer multiple drive and terrain modes.

Competitors

The ICE Sierra will compete with SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota HyRyder, and Honda Elevate in the market.

The electric Sierra (EV) version will take on upcoming models such as the Hyundai Creta Electric, Mahindra XEV 9e, Maruti e-Vitara, and Toyota Urban Cruiser BEV.
