Top 10 Compact SUVs in October 2025: Sales Figures and Market Analysis
The compact SUV segment in India remains highly competitive, and the sales figures for October 2025 show a clear picture of the market. The month saw strong sales, driven partly by the festive season.
Tata Nexon Leads the Pack

Deep Analysis: Market Dynamics and Future Trends
The October 2025 sales data confirms the market's clear preference for SUV body styles, even in the compact segment. The dominance of the Tata Nexon and Punch highlights the success of a multi-pronged approach, offering both a sub-four-meter SUV and a micro SUV. The significant 50 per cent growth of the Nexon is a strong indicator of its successful powertrain options, including electric and internal combustion engine (ICE) variants. The drop in sales for the Maruti Suzuki Brezza suggests that its competitors, especially the Kia Sonet and Mahindra XUV 3XO, are gaining ground with their feature-rich packages and aggressive pricing. The recent launch of the new-generation Hyundai Venue is expected to challenge the current rankings in the coming months. Overall, the market is moving towards models that offer high ground clearance, a wide range of transmission options, and advanced safety features like the dual-channel ABS and traction control found in newer models.
