Harley-Davidson X440 Prices Slashed by Rs 25,000 After X440 T Launch

Harley-Davidson Cuts X440 Prices by Up to ₹25,000 and Updates Features After X440 T Launch

Harley-Davidson India has revised the prices of the X440, bringing a sharper focus to its entry-level lineup after the debut of the new X440 T. The company has cut prices by as much as ₹25,000 and has trimmed the range to only two variants. The earlier Denim base model has been discontinued, leaving only the Vivid and S trims on sale. With this update, the Vivid now costs ₹2,34,500 and the S variant is priced at ₹2,54,900 ex-showroom. The decision appears aimed at improving accessibility and strengthening the motorcycle’s position in a segment filled with aggressive rivals.

Alongside the price revision, Harley has rolled out several upgrades that mirror changes introduced on the X440 T. The X440 now receives the new front suspension tuning that was first seen on the T variant. The rear section has also been reworked with a revised sub-frame and a cleaner tail design. A new electronic throttle body has been added, which enables the ride-by-wire throttle setup. This change also brings two selectable ride modes, Rain and Road, offering a noticeable difference in throttle response and power delivery depending on riding conditions.

Safety enhancements form another part of the update. The X440 now includes switchable rear ABS, giving riders more control on loose or wet surfaces. The exhaust system has also been upgraded with better cooling efficiency, an updated catalytic converter and a redesigned heat shield for improved durability. These refinements were part of the 72 updates Harley-Davidson announced across the X440 lineup earlier, all intended to deliver a more polished riding experience.

The core mechanical package remains the same. The X440 continues to use its 440 cc air and oil cooled SOHC single cylinder engine. It produces 27 bhp at 6,000 rpm and 38 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. The six-speed gearbox and slipper and assist clutch carry forward as standard. The familiar trellis frame design returns as well, paired with 43 mm KYB upside down forks offering 130 mm of travel. At the rear, the gas charged twin shock absorbers provide 7-step preload adjustment.

Braking performance is handled by a 320 mm front disc and a 240 mm rear disc, supported by dual-channel ABS. The motorcycle rides on MRF Zapper Hyke tubeless tyres, with an 18-inch wheel at the front and a 17-inch wheel at the back. Ground clearance sits at 170 mm, while the seat height is 805 mm. The wheelbase measures 1,418 mm and the fuel tank holds 13.5 litres. At 192 kg, the X440 continues to have a planted feel on the road.
