Harley-Davidson X440 T Launched: 72 Updates, New Tech, Revised Prices

Harley and Hero launch the new X440 T with ride modes, traction control and 72 upgrades. Prices revised across the range.

Hero MotoCorp and Harley-Davidson have officially launched the new X440 T in India, placing it at the very top of the 440 cc line-up. The unveiling wasn’t just about one motorcycle though. Harley also showcased its 2025 CVO range for India, headlined by the new CVO Road Glide and CVO Street Glide—two flagship machines that normally draw crowds by themselves.

The X440 story began back in July 2023, when the standard model arrived as Harley-Davidson’s most accessible motorcycle. It opened the brand to thousands of first-time Harley riders. The new X440 T now builds on that foundation and takes a clear step upward, both in features and riding sophistication.

One of the biggest changes comes via Ride-by-Wire. With an electronic throttle body, the motorcycle now responds more cleanly to rider inputs and unlocks two riding modes—Road and Rain. These modes alter throttle behaviour and safety systems for different weather and surface conditions.

Harley has also added switchable traction control and switchable rear ABS, safety features that were previously unheard of in this segment. Another first is the new Panic Braking Alert. Whenever the rider brakes very hard, all indicators flash rapidly to warn vehicles behind—something that could genuinely prevent a rear-end collision.

The X440 T isn’t just about electronics either. It carries a redesigned rear subframe, a new tail section, and updated grab rails that make life easier for the pillion. Harley says pillion comfort was one of the top requests from existing X440 owners, so the brand went back and reworked the ergonomics.

To widen the appeal of the entire range, Harley-Davidson has cut prices of the standard X440 by up to Rs 25,000. The new variants now stack up as follows:

  • X440 T: Rs 2,79,500

  • X440 S: Rs 2,54,900

  • X440 Vivid: Rs 2,34,500

(All prices ex-showroom)

Across the line-up, Harley says it has made 72 updates. These include tighter wiring packaging, improved switchgear with better click feel, a cleaner-styled fuel tank, and a completely reworked exhaust system featuring a new catalytic converter, heat shield, and end can.

Bookings for the 2025 X440 range open on December 7, 2025, through Harley-Davidson dealerships, Hero Premia outlets, and online platforms.

Meanwhile, in the premium imported segment, Harley has rolled out its updated CVO Road Glide and CVO Street Glide. Both get the new Milwaukee-Eight VVT 121 engine producing 115 HP and a massive 189 Nm. The Road Glide gets the iconic Sharknose fairing, while the Street Glide carries the redesigned Batwing fairing. Each CVO features a 12.3-inch TFT display running Skyline OS, high-end audio, and exclusive paint options. Prices start at:

  • CVO Street Glide: Rs 63,03,142

  • CVO Road Glide: Rs 67,36,720

(Ex-showroom)

Harley has also refreshed its entire Softail range in India with three tunes of the Milwaukee-Eight 117 engine—Classic, Custom and High Output. All these models are now available across dealerships.
