2026 Isuzu V Cross Launched in India Here Is Everything You Should Know

Isuzu has launched the updated 2026 V Cross pickup truck in India with a starting price of Rs 25.50 lakh ex showroom. This update brings an important change because the pickup now comes only with a 4x4 system. The company has removed the older 4x2 version completely. The new V Cross focuses more on adventure driving while adding better comfort features and a fresh design. It continues to compete with lifestyle pickup trucks like the Toyota Hilux in India.

Now Comes Only With 4x4 Capability

The biggest update in the 2026 model is the standard 4x4 drivetrain across all variants. Every version now gets an auto locking differential which helps the pickup maintain grip on rough roads sand or slippery surfaces.

Power continues to come from the trusted 1.9 liter four cylinder diesel engine. It produces 163 PS power and 360 Nm torque. Buyers can choose between a 6 speed manual gearbox or a 6 speed automatic transmission depending on their driving preference. This setup makes the V Cross suitable for highway travel daily driving and serious off road use.

Updated Exterior Design Looks More Premium

The overall tough shape of the V Cross remains the same but several small design updates make it look newer.

The front grille now gets black surrounds which give the pickup a stronger road presence. Fog lamps receive body coloured housing and the front bumper now uses a cleaner body coloured finish instead of heavy black cladding.

Higher Z Prestige variants ride on new 18 inch diamond cut alloy wheels while the Z Standard variant uses durable 16 inch steel wheels. The side mirrors now feature slimmer LED indicators and the rear bumper replaces chrome elements with gloss black finishing.

Isuzu offers seven colour choices including Red Spinel Mica, Galena Grey, Splash White, Black Mica, Silver Metallic, Silky White and Nautilus Blue.

Cabin Gets More Comfort and Modern Technology

Inside the cabin the 2026 V Cross feels more premium than before. The interior now follows a black and tan theme with leatherette finish on seats dashboard and door panels.

A new 10.3 inch floating touchscreen replaces the older unit and supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The pickup also gets an 8 speaker sound system for better audio quality.

Parking becomes easier with the new 360 degree camera system which also helps reduce blind spots. Isuzu has added a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System which helps drivers keep track of tyre condition during long drives.

Safety Features Remain Strong

Isuzu continues to focus on safety in the new V Cross. The pickup comes with up to six airbags along with ABS and EBD. Other safety systems include hill start assist, hill hold control, traction control ISOFIX child seat mounts and a rear defogger.
