2026 Tata Punch EV Facelift Revealed: Launching February 20 with Fresh Looks and Tech

Tata Motors has shown off the updated version of its electric micro SUV, the 2026 Punch EV facelift. The official launch for this new electric car is set for February 20. This updated model will feature new looks on the outside and small changes inside, but it will keep the same powerful electric parts. The price of the 2026 Tata Punch EV facelift will be higher than the current model. The current Punch EV costs between Rs 9.99 lakh and Rs 14.44 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. For comparison, the gasoline-powered 2026 Punch, which launched last month, starts at Rs 5.59 lakh (ex-showroom)

The 2026 Punch EV facelift comes with some clear changes to its exterior. It has a new front grille that is closed off. The black strip that used to connect the headlights is now gone. The protective plate under the front bumper has a new design. The alloy wheels have a fresh look, similar to those on the Nexon EV. The car will be available in a new color, like the 'Sunlit Yellow' seen on the Harrier SUV. It will also have a black roof. While Tata has not shown the back of the car yet, experts expect it to have connected LED tail-lights, just like the gasoline-powered Punch model that came out last month

The inside of the 2026 Punch EV facelift will also get some updates, though they might be subtle. Reports suggest it will feature a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen for entertainment and navigation, with the newest software. This screen will be similar to the one found in the Nexon EV. Tata might also introduce new seat materials. There is also a chance that the car could get advanced safety features, known as Level 2 ADAS tech. Many popular features from the current model will stay, such as a 360-degree camera system, a 10.25-inch digital screen for the driver, wireless phone charging, technology to connect your car to your phone, cooled front seats, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and mood lighting inside the car. The different versions of the car, like Smart, Smart Plus, Adventure, and Empowered, will likely remain the same

The 2026 Tata Punch EV facelift will use the same electric power systems as the current model. It will offer two battery options. A 25 kWh battery, which gives a driving range of 265 km on a full charge, and a 35 kWh battery, which gives a driving range of 365 km on a full charge. The 25 kWh battery works with an electric motor that makes 82 horsepower and 114 Nm of torque. The larger 35 kWh battery comes with a more powerful electric motor that produces 121 horsepower and 190 Nm of torque
