MG Majestor SUV 2026 Launch with 3 Off Road Modes and 19 Inch Wheels

MG Majestor SUV to Challenge Fortuner with 3 Off-Road Modes, 19-Inch Wheels, and Premium Features

MG Motor India is preparing to launch a new large SUV called the Majestor. This vehicle will mark an important step for the brand, as it will be positioned above the current Gloster in the lineup and enter a higher segment of SUVs. The official launch of the Majestor is scheduled for February 12, 2026. MG aims for the Majestor to compete directly with popular SUVs like the Toyota Fortuner, matching it in both size and capability.

Designed for Off-Roading

MG has been highlighting the Majestor’s off-road capabilities in recent teasers. The company has confirmed that the SUV will come with dedicated terrain modes such as Rock, Sand, and Snow. The Majestor will also ride on 265/65 R19 Apollo Apterra HT tyres mounted on 19-inch two-tone alloy wheels. Recent previews have shown the SUV tackling challenging terrain at Mount Japfu in Nagaland, demonstrating its rugged capability.

Power and Performance

The Majestor will use MG’s 2.0-litre four-cylinder twin-turbo diesel engine. This engine is expected to produce 213 horsepower and 478 Nm of torque. Power will likely be sent through an automatic gearbox. While MG has not officially confirmed it yet, the SUV is expected to feature a selectable four-wheel-drive system, which will help it handle different types of terrain.

Bold Design and Advanced Interior

The Majestor is based on the same body-on-frame platform as the global Maxus D90, but it features a more commanding design than the Gloster. The SUV gets a muscular front grille with dark elements, a split headlamp setup with sharp LED daytime running lights, and an upright, strong stance. It also includes skid plates and body cladding for a tougher look. From the side, the SUV’s large proportions are clearly visible, while the rear features LED tail lamps, prominent Majestor badging, and large exhaust outlets.

Inside, the MG Majestor will offer a modern and comfortable cabin. The interior will include a large touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital instrument cluster, and connected car features. Other highlights include a panoramic sunroof and a premium sound system. The SUV will also offer power-adjustable and ventilated seats, three-zone automatic climate control, and several safety technologies. These include Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and a 360-degree camera system.

Expected Price and Competition

The MG Majestor is expected to be priced between Rs. 40 lakh and Rs. 45 lakh. At this price range, it will compete with SUVs such as the Toyota Fortuner, Skoda Kodiaq, and the upcoming Volkswagen Tayron.
