Kawasaki India has extended its latest promotional offers to the 2025 Model Year (MY25) units of the Z650 and Z650RS. These benefits are available until February 28, 2026, as the brand looks to clear its existing inventory. If you have been considering a middleweight twin-cylinder motorcycle, this month provides a good opportunity to save on these popular models.

Price Cuts and Model Details

The Kawasaki Z650 now comes with a flat cash discount of Rs 27,000, brings its price down to Rs 6.99 lakh from the previous Rs 7.26 lakh. The neo-retro Z650RS is available with a cash discount of Rs 20,000, reducing its price from Rs 7.83 lakh to Rs 7.63 lakh. Both motorcycles use the same 649cc liquid-cooled twin-cylinder engine. This motor produces 68 bhp of power and 64 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed gearbox and a slipper/assist clutch. The entire setup is fully compliant with E20 fuel standards.

Model Original Price (Ex-showroom) Discount Revised Price (Ex-showroom)
Kawasaki Z650 ₹7.26 Lakh ₹27,000 ₹6.99 Lakh
Kawasaki Z650RS ₹7.83 Lakh ₹20,000 ₹7.63 Lakh

Features of the Kawasaki Z650

The naked Z650 is available in a Metallic Matte Dark Grey and Metallic Spark Black dual-tone finish. It features a sharp headlamp cowl, a new chin spoiler, and muscular radiator shrouds. The bike rides on Dunlop Sportmax Roadsport 2 tires and has a split-seat design with an upswept tail section. On the technology side, it includes a color TFT instrument panel, Kawasaki’s advanced traction control, and multiple riding modes. It also features the Kawasaki Intelligent anti-lock Brake System (KIBS) and an Economical Riding Indicator, all built around a high-tensile steel trellis frame.

Styling of the Kawasaki Z650RS

The Z650RS offers a different vibe with its 1970s-inspired styling. It has a classic round LED headlight, a retro-style fuel tank, and spoke-style cast wheels. The bike is designed for a relaxed riding position with wide, flat handlebars and a seat height of 820 mm. The instrument cluster uses a mix of traditional analogue dials for the speedometer and tachometer, along with a multi-functional LCD screen.

Author's Take

The decision to offer these discounts highlights Kawasaki's plan to manage its inventory effectively before newer models arrive. While the Z650 and Z650RS do not have many direct twin-cylinder rivals in this exact price bracket, the competition from other middleweight bikes is increasing. By bringing the Z650's price below the Rs 7 lakh mark, Kawasaki makes it a much more attractive option for those stepping up from smaller motorcycles.

The 650cc platform is well-regarded for its reliability and balanced performance, making it suitable for both daily use and weekend tours. However, as the market shifts toward more feature-rich or character-driven machines, these price adjustments are necessary to keep the older MY25 stock moving. For a buyer, the Z650 offers a modern, sharp package, while the Z650RS appeals to those who value timeless design without wanting the weight of a larger cruiser. If you are interested, it is best to check with your local dealer soon, as these offers depend on the remaining stock of 2025 models.
