Best-Selling MPVs Feb 2026: Ertiga Rules, Innova Holds Strong
India MPV market sees strong growth in Feb 2026 with Ertiga leading and XL6 recording big gains.
The MPV segment continued its strong run in February 2026, with total sales reaching 42,482 units. This is a solid jump from 34,556 units in the same month last year, showing a 22.9 percent year-on-year growth. The numbers highlight that practical family cars remain in high demand across both budget and premium categories.
Growth Seen Across Budget and Premium MPVs
Sales growth was visible across the entire segment, from affordable three-row vehicles to premium people movers. Models like the Renault Triber and Toyota Vellfire saw sharp increases, while mainstream options continued to deliver consistent volumes.
The Triber recorded 2,419 units, up from 1,545 units, marking a strong 56.6 percent increase. The Toyota Rumion followed with 2,817 units, growing by 34.2 percent from 2,099 units last year.
At the premium end, the Toyota Vellfire stood out with 145 units, compared to just 19 units a year ago. This translates to a massive 663.2 percent growth, although volumes remain low.
Ertiga Continues to Dominate the Segment
The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga remained the top-selling MPV by a wide margin. It sold 17,807 units in February 2026, compared to 14,868 units last year, registering a 19.8 percent increase.
It also held a dominant 41.9 percent share of the segment, meaning nearly one out of every two MPVs sold was an Ertiga.
Toyota Innova Range Holds Strong Second Position
Toyota secured the second spot with combined sales of the Innova Hycross and Innova Crysta at 8,703 units. This is slightly higher than the 8,449 units sold in February 2025, reflecting a 3.0 percent growth.
The Innova lineup accounted for 20.5 percent of the segment share, continuing to attract buyers looking for a premium and reliable MPV.
Kia and Maruti See Strong Gains
Kia took third place with the Carens and Carens Clavis EV, recording 6,815 units compared to 5,318 units last year. This marks a 28.1 percent increase and gives Kia a 16.0 percent share.
The Maruti Suzuki XL6 also showed impressive growth. It sold 3,633 units, nearly doubling from 1,878 units last year, resulting in a 93.5 percent increase and an 8.6 percent market share.
Mixed Performance for Some Models
Not all models saw growth. The Maruti Suzuki Invicto recorded 143 units, down from 380 units last year, marking a 62.4 percent decline.
