2026 Audi SQ8 Bookings Open in India Ahead of Launch Next Week

Audi SQ8 bookings open in India with Rs 5 lakh booking amount. 507 hp V8 engine, 4.1 seconds 0-100 kmph

Audi has started bookings for its high-performance luxury SUV, the SQ8, in India, and the company will officially launch the SUV on March 17, 2026. Customers can now reserve the vehicle by paying an initial booking amount of Rs. 5,00,000, while the booking can be completed online through Audi’s official website or the myAudi Connect app.

Audi is preparing to bring this SUV to the Indian market with customers in mind who want both powerful performance and luxury features in a single vehicle.

Engine and Performance

Under the hood, the SQ8 gets a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 TFSI petrol engine producing 507 hp and 770 Nm of torque. It comes paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox and Audi’s quattro all-wheel-drive system. With this setup, the SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.1 seconds and has a top speed limited to 250 km/h.

Suspension and Handling

The model comes with adaptive air suspension sport as standard, and it automatically adjusts the ride height and damping according to driving conditions, helping maintain a balance between comfort and handling while driving. Also features an all-wheel steering system, which further improves its handling characteristics.

At low speeds, the rear wheels turn in the opposite direction to the front wheels, reducing the turning circle and making the SUV easier to maneuver even in tight spaces.

At higher speeds, the rear wheels turn in the same direction as the front wheels, which increases stability during high-speed cornering or lane changes.

Exterior Design

The model features several S-series styling cues that set it apart from the regular Q8 model.

At the front, a matte silver singleframe grille is visible along with large alloy wheels that add to its sporty appearance.

At the rear, the SUV gets a quad exhaust layout and a full-width LED light bar that connects the tail lamps.

The lighting technology also includes several advanced features:

• HD Matrix LED headlights with laser light

• Digital OLED tail lights with multiple lighting signatures

These lighting elements form part of the SUV’s advanced lighting system.

Interior Features

Dashboard and Display

Inside the car, the dashboard is dominated by large digital displays, including:

• 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster

• Dual touchscreen MMI interface with 10.1-inch and 8.6-inch screens

• Advanced infotainment system

These displays manage infotainment, navigation, and climate control functions through the MMI interface.

Seating and Comfort

The SQ8 features S Sport seats made of Valkona leather with diamond stitching, giving the cabin a premium look and feel.

The front seats come with heating, ventilation, and massage functions, while the rear seats follow a 40:20:40 split configuration that allows the luggage space to expand up to 1,755 liters when the seats are folded.
