Audi has expanded its lineup of powerful SUVs in India with the introduction of the new SQ8. This impressive vehicle carries a price tag of Rs. 1.78 crore (ex-showroom, introductory). The SQ8 fits perfectly between the standard Q8 and the top-tier RS Q8 models. Customers can already book this new luxury SUV through Audi’s official channels and the myAudi Connect App by paying a token amount of Rs. 5 lakh.
Powerful V8 Engine and Performance
Under the hood, the 2026 Audi SQ8 features a potent 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 TFSI petrol engine. This engine produces a maximum of 507 horsepower (hp) and 770 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque. While it offers slightly less power than the RS Q8 (133 hp and 80 Nm less), the SQ8 still delivers strong performance credentials for both daily driving and more exciting journeys. The acceleration figures are truly impressive: the SUV can go from 0 to 100 kmph in just 4.1 seconds. Its top speed is electronically limited to 250 kmph. An 8-speed automatic gearbox manages the power, which then goes to all four wheels through Audi’s famous Quattro all-wheel-drive system.
