Ducati Desmo450 MX Motocross Bike Launched In India At Rs 17.23 Lakh
Ducati Introduces Desmo450 MX Motocross Motorcycle To Indian Market
Ducati has brought the Desmo450 MX to India, marking the Italian brand's first entry into the motocross category within the country. The launch targets the growing population of off-road and dirt track riding enthusiasts across India.
Pricing And Booking Details
The motorcycle carries a price of Rs 17.23 lakh (ex-showroom). Customers can book the Desmo450 MX at select showrooms right now. Deliveries will start towards the end of this month. Four dealerships in New Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai and Pune will handle initial sales.
Engine And Valve System
A 449.6 cc single-cylinder engine powers the Desmo450 MX. The engine features Ducati's Desmodromic valve system. This valve system ensures accurate valve operation and contributes to a wider spread of usable power. The setup delivers strong torque at lower revolutions while maintaining performance when the engine is pushed harder.
Chassis And Frame Construction
The Desmo450 MX uses a lightweight aluminium chassis designed for strength and agility. The frame features a construction method that reduces the number of welded joints. This improves rigidity and contributes to better handling characteristics during aggressive off-road riding.
Electronics And Traction Control
The motorcycle comes with a comprehensive electronics package. A traction control system monitors rear wheel behaviour and measures wheel slip levels. The system intervenes only when necessary. This allows riders to maintain control while the motorcycle performs naturally on demanding off-road surfaces.
Performance Upgrade Options
Ducati offers several performance upgrades through its accessories catalogue. Riders can equip the bike with racing-focused components including machined wheel hubs, adjustable triple clamps and a titanium exhaust system developed by Akrapovic. High-performance braking components from Brembo are also available for riders seeking better stopping capability.
Off-Road Riding Apparel
The brand has introduced a dedicated off-road riding apparel collection created in collaboration with Drudi Performance and Alpinestars. The new gear range has been developed to match the performance-focused nature of the motocross offering.
