Hero Vida VxZ electric motorcycle spotted testing near Jaipur. Hero’s first electric bike may offer 200 km range.

Hero MotoCorp is getting ready to launch an electric motorcycle, and their upcoming model, the Vida VxZ, has been spotted testing on Indian roads. This shows the company is moving forward with its plans for electric vehicles, following the success of its Vida electric scooters.

What We Know About the Vida VxZ So Far

The Vida VxZ was first shown as a concept at EICMA 2025. Just last month, Hero MotoCorp filed design patents for it in India. Now, seeing it on the roads near Jaipur, Rajasthan, means that work on the bike is coming along well. Hero MotoCorp has a modern factory in Jaipur, so it makes sense to test the bike there.

This electric motorcycle is a team effort between Hero MotoCorp and Zero Motorcycles. Zero Motorcycles is an American company known for making electric bikes. This partnership means the Vida VxZ will likely bring together Hero's ability to make many vehicles with Zero's knowledge of electric motorcycles.

How It Looks and What It Has

The spy photos show a motorcycle that looks almost ready to sell, even with some parts covered up. It has a streetfighter style, which means it looks a lot like a regular motorcycle that runs on petrol. You will see a diamond-shaped LED headlight with Vida's special LED daytime running lights. Other design parts include wheels with five spokes, a small back end, a seat that goes up in the back, and a part that looks like a fuel tank.

From the pictures, it looks like the bike will have upside-down front forks. It will probably also have a single shock absorber at the back for a smooth ride. To help it stop, you can expect disc brakes on both the front and back wheels. It is also likely that ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) will be a standard safety feature.

One interesting thing is that the Vida VxZ will use a belt drive system instead of a chain. The design papers also showed that the electric motorcycle will have a screen that shows all the information digitally and will let you choose different ways to ride. Because the Vida VxZ does not look like any of Zero Motorcycles' current bikes, it seems that Hero and Zero have made a brand-new design just for India.

How It Will Perform and Where It Fits in the Market

Hero MotoCorp has not yet told us the exact technical details. However, news reports say the Vida VxZ will perform like a 150cc sports bike that runs on petrol. This means it will have enough power for daily travel and fun rides. For how far it can go on one charge, you will probably get more than 200 kilometers. This will put it up against other electric motorcycles like the Ola Roadster X and the Royal Enfield Flying Flea.

When You Can Get One

Since the bike is now being tested on the road, you can expect the Vida VxZ to be available for sale by the end of 2026 in India. This will be the first electric motorcycle from Hero MotoCorp. Right now, they only sell electric scooters under the Vida name. This launch will start a new chapter for Hero in the electric two-wheeler market.
