Kia Updates Carens Clavis for 2026 with New Variants and Features

Kia India has updated its popular MPV, the Carens Clavis, for the 2026 model year. This update brings more choices for buyers and adds better features across all versions. The refresh also improves mid-level trims with equipment that was earlier limited to higher variants, making the Carens Clavis more appealing.

Feature Upgrades Across the Range

Kia has added more features across the entire lineup. The HTK+ trim now gets an electric sunroof, while higher trims starting from HTK+(O) offer a panoramic sunroof, LED headlamps, and a dashcam.

A new HTX(O)A variant has also been introduced, bringing Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) features at a more affordable price point.

Sporty GT-Line and X-Line Variants

A major highlight is the addition of GT-Line and X-Line versions. These new trims give the Carens Clavis a more SUV-inspired character and are priced below Rs. 20 lakh. They come with the 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine and target buyers looking for a sportier design.

The GT-Line trims, available as GTX and GTX+ models, feature cosmetic upgrades such as gloss black roof rails and ORVMs, updated bumpers with body-colored elements, LED fog lamps, new alloy wheels, lime-colored brake calipers, and metal pedals.

In comparison, the X-Line variant gets a darker theme with an exclusive Dark Gun Metal paint option along with Aurora Black Pearl. Some trims, including GTX, GTX+, and X-Line, are also available as six-seaters with captain seats.

Engine and Transmission Options

The Carens Clavis continues with multiple engine choices. These include a 1.5-liter petrol engine, a 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine, and a 1.5-liter diesel engine.

Buyers can choose from manual (MT), iMT, 7-speed dual-clutch automatic (DCT), and 6-speed automatic (6AT) gearbox options.

Pricing Overview for 2026 Kia Carens Clavis

The 2026 Carens range starts at Rs. 11.20 lakh for the base petrol HTE 7-seater. Prices increase through variants like HTE(O) and HTE EX, reaching mid-level trims such as HTK+ and HTX.

Petrol manual variants go up to around Rs. 18.81 lakh, while iMT versions cross Rs. 19 lakh. Turbo petrol DCT variants start from about Rs. 16.62 lakh and go up to Rs. 21.56 lakh for top trims like GTX+ and X-Line.

Diesel variants start at Rs. 13.13 lakh and go up to around Rs. 18.78 lakh for higher manual versions. Automatic diesel variants (6AT) are priced around Rs. 17.34 lakh. The 6-seater turbo petrol variants sit at the higher end, ranging from Rs. 16.62 lakh to Rs. 21.56 lakh.
