Suzuki e-Access Rental Plan Launched in India, Try the EV Without Buying

Suzuki e-Access Electric Scooter Now Available on Rent in India Through Royal Brothers From 24 hours to 1 year

Suzuki Motorcycle India has partnered with Royal Brothers Rentals to offer the Suzuki e-Access electric scooter through rental and subscription plans which means customers can now ride the scooter without buying it outright. The e-Access was launched in India recently at a price of Rs 1.88 lakh ex showroom where as it was among the higher priced electric scooters in its segment. With the new rental option Suzuki is giving buyers a chance to experience the scooter in real world conditions before deciding whether to purchase it.

Flexible Rental Plans From One Day to One Year

Under this partnership the e-Access can be rented for different time periods depending on the user’s need. Riders can choose a short term plan starting from just 24 hours where as longer plans extend up to one full year.

This plan is useful for different types of users. Some riders may want to try the scooter for a few days to understand electric mobility while others may prefer a monthly commuting solution without the responsibility of ownership. Long term subscription plans also allow users to ride the scooter regularly without worrying about resale value or long term battery concerns.

The rental service has started in seven major cities including Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Visakhapatnam, Bhubaneswar, Jaipur and Gurugram. Bookings and subscriptions are handled through Royal Brothers Rentals which already operates a large rental network in several cities.

Electric Powertrain and Performance Details

The Suzuki e-Access is powered by a 3.07 kWh battery pack. The electric motor produces 4.1 kW of power and 15 Nm of torque which is designed to provide smooth acceleration for everyday city riding.

Suzuki claims a riding range of around 95 kilometres on a full charge and it can reach a top speed of 71 kmph which places it in the typical performance range for urban electric scooters.

Charging time is also relatively quick, it can go from zero to 80 percent in around one hour and twelve minutes with fast charging support which makes it easier for daily users who need quicker charging cycles.

Hardware Designed for Urban Riding

The scooter is built on an underbone frame which helps keep the structure lightweight and practical for city use. The front wheel gets a disc brake where as alloy wheels and tubeless tyres are fitted as standard. Suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks at the front while the rear uses a swingarm type setup. This combination is aimed at delivering stable handling on city roads and uneven surfaces. Suzuki has also used a lightweight chassis design along with an aluminium battery case which helps manage overall weight.

Modern Features and Practical Storage

The e-Access comes with several features aimed at convenience and everyday practicality. The scooter includes full LED lighting and a colour TFT display which provides riding information in a clear digital layout. Other useful features include a keyless system, USB charging port and Suzuki Drive Mode Selector. Riders also get a hazard switch and an answer back function which helps locate the scooter in crowded parking areas.

The scooter offers 17 litres of underseat storage where as small inner pockets in the front apron can be used to store everyday items such as a phone or wallet. Another practical detail is the multi function starter switch which allows riders to unlock the seat, handle lock and charging inlet lid directly from the handlebar controls.

Rental Model Helps Buyers Test Electric Mobility

Suzuki’s decision to introduce rental plans is mainly aimed at reducing hesitation among new electric scooter buyers. Many customers still want to understand real world range, charging convenience in apartments and overall running costs before committing to an electric vehicle.

Through a rental program riders can experience the scooter in daily use which means they can evaluate performance, charging habits and practicality before deciding whether to purchase one.

Insurance support and breakdown handling are also included within the rental agreement terms which simplifies the ownership experience for users during the subscription period.

Suzuki Looking to Expand the Program

Bookings for the e-Access started across India earlier this year and the scooter can also be purchased online through the Flipkart platform. The model competes with electric scooters such as the Ather 450 Apex, TVS iQube ST and Ola S1 Pro Plus.

Suzuki sold around 230 units during the first month after launch which shows the company is still building awareness for its electric offering.

The partnership with Royal Brothers Rentals is part of a wider effort to introduce more people to the e-Access. Suzuki has also indicated that other models from its lineup could be included in the rental program in the future.

For Electric Scooter Buyers

In india, many customers still worry about charging convenience, battery life and long term ownership costs. A rental model allows riders to test an electric scooter in daily conditions before spending a large amount of money.

This will also help Suzuki increase awareness of the e-Access which is priced higher than several rivals. By allowing short term trials the company can introduce more riders to its electric platform without forcing them to make an immediate purchase decision.
