Updated Skoda Kushaq Price Announcement on March 21 – What’s New?
Skoda Kushaq Facelift India: Price Reveal on March 21, Features & Specs
The updated Skoda Kushaq will soon be available, with its official price announcement scheduled for March 21, 2026. The SUV is expected to be priced between Rs 11 lakh and Rs 19.5 lakh (ex-showroom). It will be offered in five variants: Classic+, Signature, Sportline, Prestige, and Monte Carlo. Customers can already pre-book the vehicle, and deliveries are expected to begin shortly after the price announcement.
Design and Styling
On the outside, the Kushaq facelift gets a sharper design. The front features redesigned headlamps with new LED daytime running lights, connected by segmented light strips, along with a revised grille and an updated bumper with angular metallic accents. The rear has also been updated with split LED tail lamps and illuminated branding across the tailgate.
Safety Features
All variants of the Kushaq facelift come with six airbags as standard. Other important safety features include a rear parking camera, front and rear parking sensors, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and an auto-dimming inside rearview mirror. However, it does not offer a 360-degree camera or an ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) suite, which some competitors now provide.
Engine and Transmission Updates
The Kushaq facelift continues with its familiar turbo petrol engines. The 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre TSI engines retain the same power output. However, the transmission options have been updated, with buyers able to choose between a six-speed manual, a new eight-speed torque converter automatic for the smaller engine, and a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. The 1.5-litre engine now also gets rear disc brakes for improved braking performance.
Interior Upgrades
Inside, the facelift brings several feature upgrades. Higher trims such as Prestige and Monte Carlo get a larger digital instrument cluster and an updated touchscreen infotainment system with built-in Google-based assistance. Buyers will also find ventilated and power-adjustable front seats, a panoramic sunroof, and an improved audio system with a subwoofer. A new addition is the rear seat massage function, which is a first in its segment.
Manufacturing and Rivals
Skoda Auto Volkswagen India has already started production of the updated SUV at its Chakan facility near Pune. It continues to be based on the localized MQB A0 IN platform. The Kushaq will compete with other midsize SUVs such as the Hyundai Creta, Renault Duster, Kia Seltos, Tata Sierra, Honda Elevate, and MG Astor.
