Yamaha XSR155 Gets New Metallic Black Colour Option Priced at Rs1.58 Lakh
Yamaha XSR155 Adds Metallic Black Colour Option with Same Engine and Features
Yamaha has introduced a new Metallic Black colour for the XSR155 which is already known among riders who prefer retro styled motorcycles with modern performance. This new paint scheme joins the existing colour lineup and is priced at Rs 1,58,990 (ex-showroom) Delhi. This update mainly changes the appearance while the motorcycle continues with the same engine and hardware setup.
A Cleaner Look Without Changing the Design
The new Metallic Black finish gives the XSR155 a darker and more mature road presence. The black paint spreads across the fuel tank and side panels which makes the motorcycle look simple yet premium.
Gold upside down front forks add contrast where the bike still keeps its neo retro identity. The round headlamp, exposed frame and minimal bodywork remain unchanged which helps preserve the classic XSR styling many riders already like. This colour may appeal more to riders who prefer subtle styling instead of bright paint schemes.
Engine and Performance Remain the Same
Power continues to come from a 155cc liquid cooled single cylinder engine which produces 18.4 PS power and 14.2 Nm torque. The setup works well for daily commuting while occasional highway rides also feel comfortable.
Yamaha’s Variable Valve Actuation system helps maintain smooth performance at low speeds where city traffic riding becomes easier, while higher rpm still delivers stronger acceleration.
A six speed gearbox comes paired with an assist and slipper clutch which reduces clutch effort and improves control during quick downshifts.
Easy Handling for Everyday Riding
The XSR155 uses Yamaha’s Deltabox frame which provides stable handling and predictable control. With a weight of around 137 kg the motorcycle feels manageable especially for newer riders.
Seat height stands at 810 mm which suits most riders while 170 mm ground clearance helps when roads are uneven. The 10 litre fuel tank keeps the motorcycle compact and practical for regular use.
Suspension and Safety Features
Upside down front forks and rear monocross suspension help maintain ride comfort on rough city roads. An aluminium swingarm improves balance while cornering.
Braking is handled by disc brakes supported by dual channel ABS. The motorcycle also includes traction control which helps reduce wheel slip on wet or loose surfaces.
Yamaha’s View on the Update
Hajime Aota, Chairman of Yamaha Motor India Group, said the new Metallic Black option is introduced for riders who want individuality along with performance and styling. He explained that Yamaha continues to focus on motorcycles that create strong ownership satisfaction and enjoyable riding experience.
A Small Update That Keeps the Bike Fresh
The XSR155 has built its popularity among riders who want classic motorcycle design without losing modern features. The new colour does not change how the bike rides, though it adds another styling choice for buyers.
For riders looking for a lightweight modern classic motorcycle which feels easy in daily traffic while still offering sporty performance, the XSR155 continues to remain a balanced option.
