Ather Electric Scooters Get New Google Like Smart Voice Assistant for Indian Riders

Ather Energy has completed the rollout of its new "Voice on Ather" feature for eligible electric scooters. The feature was first unveiled as part of the Ather Stack 7 software update during Ather Community Day 2025. It is now available for all owners of Gen 3 and newer Ather scooters.

What is "Voice on Ather"?

"Voice on Ather" is a smart voice assistant designed specifically for Indian users. It can understand natural languages, different accents, and even local dialects, allowing riders to interact with their scooter in a more natural way. You do not need to remember specific voice commands to use it.

The system works in a similar way to Siri on iPhones and Google Assistant on Android devices. Riders can use voice commands to access different functions while on the move.

Which Scooters Can Use It?

The new voice assistant is available on several Ather models, including:

• Ather 450X

• Ather 450 Apex

• Ather Rizta (Gen 3 or newer)

However, entry-level models such as the 450S and Rizta S are not compatible with this feature. Existing owners of supported scooters can receive the update through an over-the-air (OTA) software update.

Works with Smart Helmets

One of the biggest advantages of the new feature is its compatibility with Ather's Halo smart helmets. These helmets come with Bluetooth connectivity, making it easier for riders to communicate with the scooter while riding. The system also supports select third-party communication devices, including Sena headsets.

This allows riders to access features without taking their hands off the handlebar, improving both convenience and safety.

Other Features Included in Ather Stack 7

Ather scooters are already known for technology features such as Google-powered navigation, Hill Hold, Crawl Control, Magic Twist, and Park Assist. The Ather Stack 7 platform adds even more connected features, including:

• Safety Alerts: ParkSafe alerts and crash alerts help improve rider safety.

• Finding Your Scooter: Ping My Scooter makes it easier to locate the vehicle in crowded parking areas.

• Connected Features: Live location sharing, remote functionality, and live cricket scores are available through the dashboard and connected ecosystem.

Customers who want access to these premium software features can opt for the Ather Stack Pro package. It is available at an additional cost of Rs 16,000 over the scooter's standard price.
