Citroen Teases eC3X Ahead Of India Launch; New Features Revealed

Citroen eC3X teased ahead of launch with updated styling, new features and a 29.2 kWh battery pack

Citroen has teased the upcoming eC3X ahead of its India launch. The company has shared a new teaser on social media for the car, which will now be called the eC3X. Citroen is changing the names of all its cars to include an "X" at the end. This updated electric hatchback will come with a fresh look and more features inside.

New Look and Colors

The teaser shows the rear of the car in a new blue colour, while the overall shape is expected to remain unchanged. The eC3X will feature a redesigned front bumper and grille, along with a silver skid-plate-style element at the front.

The car will also get updated lighting elements. You will find:

  • New projector headlamps

  • Bright LED daytime running lights

  • LED fog lamps

  • Turn signals built into the side mirrors

Citroen might also give the car new wheels as part of the update. However, the tail lamps at the back look unchanged in the teaser.

Better Features Inside

Inside, the eC3X is expected to get new seat materials along with a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system.

Other new features will include:

  • Keyless entry and a push-button start

  • A tyre pressure monitoring system

  • Six airbags

  • Leatherette seat upholstery

Some reports say that buyers can even get a 360-degree camera as an extra option from the showroom.

Battery and Range

The eC3X will likely use the same 29.2 kWh battery pack and single electric motor as the current model. It offers a claimed range of 320 km on a full charge and produces 56 bhp and 143 Nm of torque.

The new Citroen eC3X is expected to launch soon, with pricing likely to remain close to the current eC3, which starts at Rs 12.90 lakh (ex-showroom).
