New Hyundai Creta Spotted Testing In Manali Ahead Of Expected 2027 Debut
Upcoming Hyundai Creta was seen testing in Manali, Could get new tech, improved suspension - Launch 2027
Hyundai has been spotted testing the next version of the Creta in the hilly roads around Manali to check its performance on steep roads before the official launch. The company using the thin air and tough climbs to ensure the engine cooling, brakes, and electronics work perfectly. New model will likely arrive with a better suspension and advanced software to give drivers a more premium experience.
Fresh Design and Space
New Creta will have a slightly larger body, which could mean more room for passengers inside the cabin. You will also see a new look on the outside, including:
- Redesigned front and rear bumpers
- A new grille and sharper LED lights
- New alloy wheels that look like the ones on the Kia Seltos
Another cool feature is a new gear selector on the steering column. This "shift-by-wire" system creates more storage space in the middle of the car. It helps make the dashboard look cleaner alongside the new digital screens.
Better Handling and New Technology
The biggest mechanical change for the new Creta could be a multi-link rear suspension. This new setup will replace the old system to help the car stay smooth on rough roads. It will also help the car feel more stable when you are driving at high speeds. Inside the car, a massive digital screen will stretch across the dashboard.
Hyundai is also preparing its new "Pleos" operating system for this SUV. This software is part of a new strategy to connect your music, maps, and car settings more easily. However, you will still have physical buttons for common functions. This will help you control the car without having to use the touchscreen for everything.
Engine and Transmission Options
Hyundai plans to keep the same engines that buyers already know. You will have several choices:
- 1.5-litre petrol engine: Produces 115 hp and 144 Nm of torque.
- 1.5-litre diesel engine: Produces 116 hp and 250 Nm of torque.
- 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine: Produces 160 hp and 253 Nm of torque.
You can choose from many types of gearboxes, including a manual, CVT, automatic, and a seven-speed dual-clutch option. There is also talk about a new strong hybrid petrol engine using a 1.5-litre motor.
Electric Version and Launch Date
After the petrol and diesel models launch, Hyundai will also update the Creta Electric. The electric car might use a new LFP battery instead of the current NMC type. This change will help make the battery last longer and cost less to build.
We expect the new Hyundai Creta to make its global debut by the end of this year or in early 2027. It will then go on sale in markets like India.
