Renault Kiger Evolution+ Variant Launched, Turbo Range Grows to Five Variants

Renault India has revamped the Renault Kiger SUV variants and prices by introducing four new variants across the naturally aspirated petrol and turbo-petrol ranges. The company has launched a new Evolution+ trim level and introduced a manual gearbox option in the turbo-petrol range. Now, customers get more variant choices and better value across both petrol and turbo-petrol ranges. The petrol manual range starts at Rs. 5.81 lakh while the turbo manual range starts at Rs. 7.89 lakh (ex-showroom).

Evolution+ Trim Launched

The new Evolution+ trim level is positioned between the existing Evolution and Techno trim levels and is offered on petrol-manual, Easy-R AMT, and turbo-manual variants. Renault aims to offer better value for money with this new variant.

The new Evolution+ trim comes equipped with a Smart Access Card, push-button start/stop, a height-adjustable driver seat, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, auto climate control, and light embossed fabric upholstery.

Turbo-Petrol Range Expanded

Renault has introduced a manual gearbox variant of the Techno Turbo. Previously, customers had limited choices in the turbo-petrol range, with only three variants on offer. Now, the turbo-petrol range has been expanded to five variants.

Starting at Rs. 7.89 lakh (ex-showroom), the turbo-petrol range is now available in five variants. The Evolution+ Turbo Manual is priced at Rs. 7.89 lakh, while the Techno Turbo Manual and Emotion Turbo Manual are priced at Rs. 8.45 lakh and Rs. 9.35 lakh, respectively. For customers looking for an automatic gearbox, the X-Tronic CVT range is priced at Rs. 9.35 lakh for the Techno variant and Rs. 10.35 lakh for the Emotion variant.

The Techno Turbo Manual is priced about Rs. 90,000 lower than the Techno Turbo CVT variant. Renault claims that the Kiger Turbo range, which now starts at Rs. 7.89 lakh (ex-showroom), is the lowest-priced turbo-petrol SUV in the entry B-SUV segment.

Naturally Aspirated Petrol Range Expanded

In the naturally aspirated petrol engine range known as Energy, the Renault Kiger is now available in eight variants. At Rs. 5.81 lakh (ex-showroom), the Authentic is the entry-level variant, followed by the Evolution variant priced at Rs. 6.55 lakh. The newly introduced Evolution+ variant is available at Rs. 6.99 lakh, while the Techno and Emotion variants are priced at Rs. 7.55 lakh and Rs. 8.45 lakh, respectively.

For customers preferring an automatic gearbox, the Easy-R AMT range starts at Rs. 6.99 lakh for the Evolution variant. The Evolution+ AMT variant costs Rs. 7.45 lakh and the Techno AMT variant costs Rs. 8.05 lakh.

Same Engine Choices Continue

Renault continues to offer two engine choices on the Kiger. The naturally aspirated 1.0-litre petrol engine is offered on Energy variants with either a manual or Easy-R AMT gearbox. This engine produces 71 bhp of power and 96 Nm of torque.

The 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 100 PS is used on Turbo models and can be paired with either a manual gearbox or an X-Tronic CVT automatic gearbox.

Versatile Practical SUV

Apart from introducing new variants, the Renault Kiger continues to be a practical SUV for everyday use. It offers a ground clearance of 205 mm, making it suitable for rough roads and speed breakers.
