Popular singer Daler Mehndi has added a Mahindra XEV 9E to his garage
Celebrities usually buy very expensive foreign cars. But lately, we are seeing many Indian stars choosing brands from our own country. The latest one to do this is the famous singer Daler Mehndi. He recently bought a brand-new Mahindra XEV 9E, which is a premium electric SUV.
A Special Delivery at Home
Mahindra Electric SUVs shared a video on their Instagram page showing the car being delivered to Daler Mehndi’s home. In the video, the singer and his family walked out to where the car was parked. The car was covered, and Daler Mehndi unveiled it himself.
After showing the car, he said a quick prayer and then got inside. The staff from the dealership were there to help him. They showed him how to use the different features and even how to control some functions using the key. Daler Mehndi took pictures with his fans and the staff, thanked his fans for their support, and then he and his family cut a cake to celebrate.
What is the Mahindra XEV 9E?
The XEV 9E is a very important car for Mahindra because it is one of their first "born-electric" SUVs. This means it was designed from the start to be an electric car. It is built on a special platform called INGLO.
The SUV is a 5-seater and is quite large, measuring 4,790 mm in length, 1,905 mm in width, and 1,690 mm in height. It also has a wheelbase of 2,775 mm. It has a sporty coupe-like design with a sloping roof. It looks like Daler Mehndi really liked the way it looks and all the modern features it offers.
Battery, Power, and Price
The Mahindra XEV 9E comes with two battery choices:
- 59 kWh Battery: This gives 228 bhp of power and 380 Nm of torque. It can travel 542 km on a full charge.
- 79 kWh Battery: This is more powerful with 282 bhp and 380 Nm of torque. It can travel 656 km on a full charge.
The price of the XEV 9E starts at Rs 21.90 lakh and goes up to Rs 31.25 lakh (ex-showroom).

Daler Mehndi seems to have picked the top model, which comes with many high-end features. Inside, the most amazing thing is the dashboard, which has three large screens.

- Safety: It has achieved the highest scores in Bharat NCAP crash tests, comes with six to seven airbags, and smart safety features (Level 2 ADAS).
- Comfort: It has leatherette upholstery, a fixed panoramic glass roof, ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control, and an electronic parking brake (EPB).
- Technology: There is a 360-degree camera, an AR head-up display that shows information on the windshield, NFC key functionality, and even an in-cabin camera for taking selfies.
- Storage: It has a very large 663-litre boot for carrying lots of luggage.
