Skoda Kodiaq RS India Bookings Begin June 22, First Batch Only 50 Units
Skoda Kodiaq RS bookings will start on June 22 in India and gets a 265 bhp turbo-petrol engine, AWD, and premium features
Skoda Auto India has confirmed that the new Kodiaq RS is coming to India soon. Bookings for the SUV will open on June 22, 2026. This is the first time a Skoda SUV in India will have the "RS" badge.

Engine and Performance
The Kodiaq RS uses an upgraded 2.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine. This is the same engine used in the Octavia RS and Volkswagen Golf GTI. It produces 265 bhp and 400 Nm of torque and compared to the regular Kodiaq, this is an increase of 60 bhp and 80 Nm.
The power goes to all four wheels through a 7-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission and a permanent all-wheel-drive system. The SUV can go from 0 to 100 kmph in 6.3 seconds and has a top speed of 231 kmph.

Mechanical and Exterior Changes
The Kodiaq RS is built on the MQB Evo platform and It uses MacPherson struts at the front and a multi-link suspension at the rear. While the international model has Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) adaptive dampers, Skoda has not confirmed this feature for India yet.
The SUV has larger, ventilated and slotted brake discs with red two-piston calipers. It also features progressive steering to help with handling.
On the outside, the Kodiaq RS has a new front bumper with larger air intakes and a gloss black grille. A light bar connects the Matrix LED headlamps. It comes with 20-inch alloy wheels and performance tyres. Other details include blacked-out roof rails, window surrounds, and C-pillar trim. At the back, it has connected LED tail lamps and dynamic turn indicators.
Interior Features and Safety
The cabin has an all-black theme with red stitching. The front seats have integrated headrests and RS branding.

- A 13-inch touchscreen and a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display.
- Smart rotary dials for climate and audio controls.
- A 13-speaker Canton sound system with 725 watts of output.
- Dual wireless phone chargers with cooling
- A panoramic sunroof and ambient lighting.
- Safety features like ADAS Level 2 and a 360-degree camera.
Ashish Gupta, Brand Director of Skoda Auto India, mentioned that the RS badge has a strong following in the country and also noted that the last Octavia RS sold out in 20 minutes. He said the Kodiaq RS offers a mix of performance and 4x4 capability in a seven-seater layout.
