Toyota Begins eBella EV Deliveries In India, First Unit Reaches Customer
Toyota has started deliveries of its latest electric SUV, the eBella, in India and the first delivery recently took place in Odisha. This comes shortly after Toyota announced the prices of the eBella last month.
The first eBella was handed over to a customer named Mr. Swain at Capital Toyota in Bhubaneswar. The dealership held a special event for this occasion. State Head Animesh Pradhan, along with senior officials and staff members, was present to hand over the keys to the new owner and his family.
Toyota first showed the eBella in January 2026. It is a mid-size electric SUV developed jointly by Toyota and Maruti Suzuki. Because of this, it shares the same platform, powertrain options and feature set with the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara.
While both cars are similar, the eBella has its own look at the front with large headlamps and dotted LED daytime running lights that also work as turn signals. It also comes with 18-inch alloy wheels and a two-tone front bumper with functional air vents. The rear gets clear-lens LED tail lamps and styling that is similar to the Maruti version.
Inside, the Toyota eBella has a dual-tone brown and black theme. It also comes loaded with several modern features aimed at improving comfort and convenience.
Key Interior Features
- Screens: A 10.1-inch digital screen for the driver and a 10.25-inch touchscreen for music and maps.
- Connectivity: It supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
- Comfort: The front seats are ventilated to keep you cool. The rear seats can slide, recline, and fold in a 40:20:40 split.
- Sound: A premium JBL audio system and 12-colour ambient lighting.
- Climate: It comes with automatic climate control.
Safety Features included
As per safety, it comes with seven airbags and disc brakes on all four wheels as standard, along with several advanced safety features.
- A 360-degree camera for a full view around the car.
- Front parking sensors.
- Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) for extra help while driving.
- Electronic parking brake with auto-hold function.
The Toyota eBella comes in three versions: E1, E2, and E3. At present, Toyota has announced the price only for the top-spec E3 variant, which is priced at Rs 23.60 lakh (ex-showroom).
