TVS Secures 25% EV Market Share As iQube Sales Cross 8.5 Lakh Units
TVS has secured a 25% EV market share in India as iQube sales surpass 8.5 lakh units since launch.
TVS Motor Company has secured a 25 percent market share in the electric two-wheeler segment in India. The iQube electric scooter has played a major role in helping TVS achieve this position. In March 2026, the model reached a total sales milestone of 8.5 lakh units since its initial launch in January 2020. In May 2026, TVS sold 43,632 electric two-wheelers, which includes the iQube, Orbiter, and X models. This was the company's second-highest monthly EV sales figure, following the record of 49,304 units set in March 2026.
In the 2026 financial year, TVS sold 3,67,501 units of the iQube, which is a 35 percent increase from the 2,73,063 units sold in the previous year. The company currently averages nearly 30,000 iQube sales every month. The iQube is currently sold through more than 3,300 dealerships across 1,000 cities in India. TVS manufactures the scooter locally at its production facility in Hosur, Tamil Nadu.
TVS recently expanded the iQube lineup with the launch of the S 4.7 kWh variant at a price of Rs 1.37 lakh. The new 4.7 kWh battery pack replaces the previous 3.5 kWh unit in the S trim. The larger battery increases the claimed IDC range from 145 km to 175 km. The new variant is priced approximately Rs 19,000 higher than the model it replaces. The iQube is available in three trim levels known as Standard, S, and ST. The Standard version offers three battery options including a 2.2 kWh pack for Rs 94,434, a 3.1 kWh pack for Rs 1.00 lakh, and a 3.5 kWh pack for Rs 1.09 lakh. These provide ranges of 94 km, 123 km, and 145 km respectively. The range-topping iQube ST features a 5.3 kWh battery with a 212 km range and is priced at Rs 1.59 lakh. All mentioned prices are ex-showroom.
The iQube also comes with several practical features such as a 32-litre under-seat storage capacity and a 7-inch TFT instrument console. It also comes with a 950 W portable charger that is compatible with standard power sockets. Other features include a dual-tone seat, beige inner panels, a pillion backrest, and a USB charging port for mobile devices. The iQube competes in the Indian market against the Bajaj Chetak EV, Ather Rizta, Ola S1, and Hero Vida V2. TVS continues to expand its electric portfolio as part of the broader shift toward sustainable mobility in India.
