Kia Syros EV Spotted Testing in India: Launch Date, Features And Range

Kia Syros EV Spotted Testing in India A New Electric SUV Coming Soon

Kia is preparing to launch a new electric SUV in India called the Kia Syros EV. The car has recently been seen during road testing in Andhra Pradesh. Even though the test vehicle was fully covered, some important details about the upcoming electric SUV have become clear.

The Syros EV will become Kia’s fourth electric vehicle for the Indian market. It is based on the regular Kia Syros but redesigned to work as a fully electric car. Kia is expected to launch this model later this year, so buyers may see it in showrooms soon.

Modern Design Made for an Electric Car

The Kia Syros EV follows a clean and modern design style. It uses split headlamps where lighting elements are placed in separate sections. Since electric cars do not need large engine cooling grills, the front design looks smoother and more closed.

There is a small air opening at the lower section with active flaps. These flaps open only when cooling is required which helps to improve airflow and saves battery energy while driving.

The SUV is also expected to get specially designed 17 inch alloy wheels and flat roof rails. These small design changes help reduce air resistance and improve driving range.

Interior Features and Technology

Inside the cabin, the Syros EV will focus on comfort and technology. The dashboard will include two large 12.3 inch screens. One screen shows driving information for the driver, while the second screen controls entertainment, navigation, and vehicle settings.

The front seats are expected to include ventilation to keep passengers cool. The driver seat will also offer electric adjustment for better comfort. The SUV will come with an 8 speaker Harman Kardon sound system for improved audio quality.

Rear seat passengers will get sliding and reclining seats, allowing better comfort during long journeys. Safety features will include six airbags, a 360 degree camera for easier parking, and advanced driver assistance systems that help avoid possible accidents.

Battery Range and Driving Distance

The Kia Syros EV is expected to offer two battery pack options. The larger battery version may deliver a driving range between 475 km and 500 km on a single charge. This range should be suitable for daily city use as well as weekend highway trips.

One useful feature expected in the SUV is Vehicle to Load or V2L technology. This allows users to power external devices using the car’s battery. Small appliances, laptops, or camping equipment can be connected directly to the vehicle when needed.

What to Expect From the Kia Syros EV

The Kia Syros EV is likely to become an important addition to India’s growing electric SUV segment. It combines modern styling, practical features, and long driving range aimed at family buyers.

The vehicle will be manufactured at Kia’s Anantapur facility in Andhra Pradesh, supporting local production. Buyers planning to switch to an electric SUV this year may want to wait for its official launch announcement, as the Syros EV could offer strong value in its segment.
