Kia India Sees Strong Demand for Seltos, Sonet and Clavis in February 2026 Sales
Kia India reported its best ever February sales in 2026. The company sold 27,610 vehicles during the month which is higher than the 25,026 units sold in February last year. This equals a growth of 10.3 percent and also becomes the second straight month where Kia recorded double digit yearly growth. The numbers show that demand for Kia cars remains steady in different parts of India.
Demand Led by Seltos, Sonet and Clavis Models
Kia said strong interest across its main models supported the sales performance. The new generation Seltos which was launched in January 2026 starting at ₹10.99 lakh continues to attract buyers.
The Sonet remained another strong contributor where buyers continue to prefer it for daily city use. The Carens Clavis and Clavis EV also saw stable demand especially among families looking for space and practicality.
The company noted that buyers today are paying more attention to safety and technology features which include ADAS systems and connected car functions that improve everyday driving convenience.
Growth Since India Entry
Kia entered the Indian market in 2019 and has already crossed one million vehicles on Indian roads. This growth within a short time shows increasing acceptance of the brand among car buyers.
Company Statement on Performance
Atul Sood who serves as Senior Vice President for Sales and Marketing at Kia India said the February results reflect growing customer trust. He added that steady demand for Seltos, Sonet and the Clavis lineup shows the company’s focus on design and useful technology is working in the market.
Market Position and Network Presence
In calendar year 2025, Kia India sold 255,554 vehicles which gave the company close to 7 percent market share. Sales momentum continued into 2026 where January sales crossed 27,600 units followed by similar performance in February.
Kia currently stands as the sixth largest passenger vehicle manufacturer in India. To support customers, the company operates 849 sales and service touchpoints across 382 cities along with 122 certified pre owned outlets.
Future Plans
Kia plans to expand its product range during 2026 where the upcoming Syros EV will strengthen its electric vehicle lineup. The company continues to expand its reach as competition increases across petrol and electric vehicle segments.
Team Analysis
Kia India’s February 2026 sales numbers give a clear idea about how the brand is performing in the market. Strong sales growth usually means more buyers are trusting the brand which is important when choosing a new car.
When a company sells more cars, its service and support network also improves. This helps owners later with maintenance, spare parts and resale value. For buyers, this reduces long term ownership worries.
Models like the Seltos and Sonet continue to sell in good numbers which shows these cars match what many Indian buyers want. They offer useful features, modern design and practical value for daily driving. Strong demand also suggests these models remain safe and stable choices in their segments.
Kia is also focusing on safety and technology features such as ADAS and connected car systems which make driving easier and more convenient in regular use. Buyers who prefer modern technology may find this important while comparing options.
The company is also preparing to expand its electric vehicle lineup where upcoming models like the Syros EV will add more choices in the future. This shows Kia is planning ahead as the market slowly moves towards electric mobility.
