Maruti Suzuki February 2026 Sales Cross 2.13 Lakh Units with Strong SUV Demand

Maruti Suzuki shared its February 2026 sales numbers and the results show steady demand across India. The company sold 2,13,995 vehicles during the month which includes cars sold inside India and vehicles sent to other countries. Sales improved compared to February last year when Maruti Suzuki sold 1,99,400 units. The growth may not look very sharp but it shows the brand continues to hold strong customer trust in different price segments.

Sales in India Stayed Stable While Exports Grew Fast

Most of the company’s sales still came from the Indian market. Maruti Suzuki sold 1,64,130 vehicles across the country in February. This number stayed almost the same as last year which shows demand remains consistent even as competition increases.

Exports told a different story. The company shipped 39,155 vehicles to overseas markets which is much higher than the previous year figure of 25,021 units. This strong jump shows that cars made in India are now finding more buyers outside the country.

Small Cars Still Sell but Buyers Are Moving to SUVs

Maruti Suzuki’s Mini and Compact cars include Alto, S-Presso, Baleno, Celerio, Dzire, Ignis, Swift and WagonR. These models together sold 76,624 units. Sales in this segment dropped slightly compared to last year. This change reflects a clear market trend where many buyers now prefer larger vehicles instead of entry-level hatchbacks.

SUVs and MPVs Continue to Drive Growth

Utility Vehicles remained one of the strongest areas for Maruti Suzuki. This group includes Brezza, Ertiga, Fronx, Grand Vitara, XL6, Invicto, Jimny and the electric e Vitara.

The company sold 72,756 utility vehicles, which is higher than last year’s numbers. Indian buyers today look for space, road presence and features which is why SUVs and MPVs continue to grow faster than small cars.

Vans and Commercial Models Add Stable Support

The Eeco van recorded 11,620 units, whereas the Super Carry light commercial vehicle sold 3,130 units during the month. These models may not get much attention but they remain important for business users and fleet buyers. Maruti Suzuki also supplied 10,710 vehicles to other car brands under OEM agreements.

SUVs are becoming the first choice for many families whereas small cars still attract city users who want affordability and fuel efficiency.

Maruti Suzuki continues to cover almost every price range which starts from entry hatchbacks and goes up to premium SUVs. The brand also keeps expanding into electric mobility with models like the e Vitara which shows preparation for future demand.

The February 2026 report shows that demand for SUVs and practical family cars continues to grow where as small hatchbacks are seeing slightly slower demand. This trend helps buyers understand which vehicle segments are gaining popularity and which models are likely to receive more updates and features in the future.
