Citroen e-C3X Launched With Battery Subscription Plan, Prices Start At Rs 6.89 Lakh

Citroen has launched the updated e-C3X electric crossover in India with a new Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) plan. Under this model, customers can buy the car at a lower price and pay separately for battery usage. Bookings for the new e-C3X are now open at Citroen showrooms and through the company's online channels.

 Under the BaaS plan, the e-C3X costs Rs. 6.89 lakh, while battery usage is charged at Rs. 2.26 per kilometer. The regular version with the battery included is priced at Rs. 10.25 lakh. Citroen says the new plan helps lower the initial cost of ownership.

Exterior Design and Style

The e-C3X looks like a mix between a hatchback and an SUV. It features:

• Lights: New LED headlamps, split LED daytime running lamps, and front fog lamps.

• Wheels: Diamond-cut 15-inch alloy wheels.

• Protection: Front and rear skid plates and a ground clearance of 170 mm.

• Mirrors: Outside mirrors that are electrically adjustable and fold automatically.

• Badging: Redesigned X-specific badges.

Citroen says the e-C3X has a turning radius of 4.98 metres, making it easier to drive in city traffic.

Comfort and Interior Space

Inside, the car has a fresh look with a new "Electric Blu" themed dashboard. You can choose from different interior themes:

• Shine: Electric Blu dashboard with dual-tone leatherette seats and blue accents.

• Live-O: Electric Blu dashboard with dual-tone leatherette seats and blue highlights.

• Live: Electric Blu dashboard with black fabric seats.

The e-C3X has a 2,450 mm wheelbase and a 315-litre boot, offering good space inside the cabin. Citroen has also used comfort seats and a special suspension setup to improve ride comfort.

High-Tech Cabin and Features

The e-C3X is equipped with several technology features, including:

• Screens: A large 10.25-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There is also a 7-inch digital driver’s display with blue graphics.

• Charging: Wireless smartphone charging.

• Audio: You can choose a premium JBL sound package.

• Mirror: An electrochromic inside rear-view mirror that dims automatically.

• Connected Car: Connected Car 2.0 technology with over 40 remote-access functions.

Safety and Indian Conditions

Safety features include:

• Six airbags

• ABS with EBD

• ISOFIX child-seat anchors

• Automatic door locking based on speed

• High-speed warning system

A special feature is the new front-and-rear dashcam system. This system can warn the driver if the car is drifting out of its lane or if it gets too close to another vehicle or a pedestrian.

The electric powertrain also contributes to a quiet and vibration-free driving experience. Citroen has also improved the air conditioning specifically for Indian weather to keep the cabin cool during hot summer conditions.

It is available in six colors: Polar White, Steel Grey, Cosmo Blue, Perla Nera Black, Garnet Red, and Deep Forest Green.
