Green SM Launches Electric Taxi Service In India With VinFast Limo Green
Green SM Launches Electric Taxi Service In India With VinFast Limo Green SUV For Commercial Transportation
Green SM has officially entered India's electric taxi market with the launch of its premium "Green SM Limo" service in Delhi NCR. The company will use the VinFast Limo Green, a fully electric SUV designed for commercial passenger transport. With this launch, India becomes the fifth country where Green SM operates, after Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
The company offers an all-electric taxi fleet instead of using a mix of petrol, diesel, CNG, and electric vehicles. Green SM says its goal is to provide a cleaner and quieter travel experience while supporting the shift toward sustainable transportation.
The service is currently available in key parts of Delhi NCR. Green SM plans to expand to more cities and regions in the future based on customer demand.
Powerful Electric Performance
Powering the VinFast Limo Green is a 60.13 kWh battery pack that allows the vehicle to travel up to 517 km on a single charge and supports DC fast charging of up to 80 kW and can charge from 10% to 70% in just 30 minutes.
A front-mounted electric motor produces 201 bhp and 280 Nm of torque. The SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in less than 9 seconds. Because it is electric, the ride is very quiet and there are no tailpipe emissions. Green SM also says the all-electric setup can help reduce operating costs compared to conventional fuel-powered vehicles.

Comfort and Safety for Every Passenger
At the centre of the service is the VinFast Limo Green, a seven-seater SUV built specifically for carrying passengers comfortably. Whether you are going to the airport, traveling for work, going on a family trip, or taking an intercity journey, this SUV offers plenty of space for both passengers and luggage.
Safety is a big focus for Green SM, and every vehicle comes with a "Secure-to-Safe" system. This includes:
- Cameras: Both inside and outside the car to help improve safety.
- AI Monitoring: Technology that monitors the vehicle and driver to help prevent accidents.
- Emergency Buttons: Both the driver and passengers can use these if they need assistance.
Passengers also get extra things like drinking water and wet tissues to make the ride more pleasant.
Trained "Green Drivers"
To maintain service quality, all drivers go through special training and are referred to as "Green Drivers" by the company. They learn how to drive electric cars safely and how to provide great service to customers. Green SM wants to make sure every ride is a "5-star" experience through its "Ride 5 Star" philosophy, which focuses on safety, professionalism, vehicle quality, and customer satisfaction.
The company is also working with local partners in India through its "Green Alliance Frontier" initiative. As part of this effort, Green SM has partnered with five organizations from the mobility, travel, technology, and service sectors to help build a better ecosystem for sustainable transportation.
Even though the company started in Vietnam only in 2023, it has expanded quickly across Asia. Now, it is ready to take on the challenge of the Indian market, starting with Delhi NCR. As one of the world's largest mobility markets, India is expected to play an important role in Green SM's future growth plans.
Analysis
Unlike private cars that mostly depend on showroom visits, commercial fleets give passengers a chance to experience the vehicle during everyday travel. Over time, that exposure could help more people become familiar with the VinFast brand.
The launch also comes at a time when the premium electric taxi segment has fewer players. After BluSmart scaled down its operations, commuters looking for an all-electric ride service were left with fewer options. This gives Green SM a chance to attract customers who prefer dedicated EV rides instead of mixed fleets.
Green SM is following a different fleet model. The company owns and operates a standardised fleet using the same vehicle, trained drivers, and common safety features. If it maintains these standards as it expands, it could offer a more consistent experience than platforms where vehicles and service quality often vary.
