Green SM Launches Electric Taxi Service In India With VinFast Limo Green SUV For Commercial Transportation 

Green SM has officially entered India with the launch of its electric taxi service in Delhi NCR. The company began operations on World Environment Day and will first provide services in major areas across the National Capital Region. With this launch, India becomes the fifth country where Green SM operates after Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia and the Philippines. Unlike many taxi companies that use petrol, diesel, CNG and electric vehicles together, Green SM has started its service with a fully electric fleet from the very beginning.

VinFast Limo Green Takes Centre Stage

The service is built around the VinFast Limo Green, a fully electric seven-seater SUV developed for passenger transportation and it is designed for different types of travel, including airport transfers, family trips, office commuting and intercity journeys. Its three-row cabin provides space for more passengers and luggage, making it suitable for a wide range of travel needs. The Limo Green also brings zero tailpipe emissions, helping reduce pollution in urban areas.

Focus On Safety

Every Green SM Limo vehicle comes equipped with a safety system that includes both interior and exterior cameras. The company has also added AI-based monitoring technology and emergency assistance buttons that can be accessed by both drivers and passengers when required. These systems are intended to improve safety and provide additional support during journeys.

Passenger Comfort And Driver Training

Green SM is offering this service as a premium travel option. Inside the vehicles, passengers will get basic comforts like drinking water and wet tissues. The company says it wants to make every trip comfortable, whether it is a short daily ride or a longer journey. Before joining the platform, all drivers receive special training that covers electric vehicle driving, road safety and customer service. Green SM calls its drivers “Green Drivers” and follows a “Ride 5 Star” service model that focuses on safety, professional service, clean vehicles and a better overall travel experience.

Lower Running Costs

Apart from reducing emissions, electric vehicles can also help lower operating costs compared to conventional fuel-powered vehicles. This can be an important advantage for commercial transportation services that operate throughout the day and cover long distances. Green SM believes an all-electric model can help improve efficiency while supporting cleaner urban mobility.

 Expansion Plans In India

The company has started operations in Delhi NCR and plans to gradually expand its coverage based on demand. At the launch event, Green SM also announced partnerships with five organisations from the mobility, travel, technology and service sectors under its Green Alliance Frontier initiative. The programme aims to support the development of a wider sustainability ecosystem around transportation and related services.

Green SM started in Vietnam in 2023 and has quickly expanded to several Asian countries. Now, the company has entered India as part of its global growth plans. Delhi NCR is the first city where the service has been launched, giving Green SM a chance to build its presence in one of the world's biggest transportation markets. The company's arrival also brings a new all-electric ride service to Delhi NCR and introduces the VinFast Limo Green SUV for commercial passenger transport in India. Going forward, Green SM plans to expand its network and strengthen its position in the country's fast-growing electric mobility market.
