Hero Splendor+ and HF Deluxe Flex-Fuel Bikes Get Rs 4,000 Discount
Hero MotoCorp is offering a Rs 4,000 discount on the new Splendor+ Flex-Fuel and HF Deluxe Flex-Fuel motorcycles
Hero MotoCorp has announced a Rs 4,000 cash discount on its recently launched Splendor+ Flex-Fuel and HF Deluxe Flex-Fuel motorcycles. With this offer, the effective ex-showroom price of the Splendor+ Flex-Fuel comes down to Rs 78,810, while the HF Deluxe Flex-Fuel now costs Rs 68,792. The move is aimed at making flex-fuel technology more affordable for everyday commuters.
The new pricing makes the HF Deluxe Flex-Fuel cheaper than its regular E20 version by Rs 1,650. The Splendor+ Flex-Fuel, however, still remains around Rs 1,153 more expensive than the standard E20 model even after the discount. Despite the small premium, Hero hopes the benefits of flex-fuel technology will attract more buyers.
Both motorcycles are designed to run on petrol blended with ethanol, supporting fuel mixtures from E20 to E85. This means the bikes can operate on fuel containing anywhere between 20 percent and 85 percent ethanol. As India continues to increase ethanol blending in fuel, these motorcycles are expected to play an important role in reducing petrol consumption and emissions.
To ensure reliable performance with higher ethanol content, Hero has made several mechanical upgrades. The bikes come equipped with a new fuel pump, an additional fuel filter, and a specially calibrated ECU. They also receive practical features such as a side-stand engine cut-off system, tubeless tyres, a digital-analogue instrument cluster, and fresh Black and Lime Yellow graphics.
Hero claims that performance improves when the motorcycles are run on E85 fuel. According to the company, power output increases by 7 percent, while torque improves by 3 percent compared to lower ethanol blends. These gains are intended to offset the lower energy content of ethanol-rich fuels.
Powering both motorcycles is a 97.2cc single-cylinder engine that produces 8.5 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 8.3 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. The engine is paired with a 5-speed gearbox and is fully compatible with fuel blends ranging from E20 to E85.
The Splendor+ Flex-Fuel and HF Deluxe Flex-Fuel were developed at Hero MotoCorp's Centre for Innovation and Technology (CIT) in Jaipur. The company plans to launch the bikes in Delhi and selected regions of Maharashtra in July 2026, followed by a gradual expansion to other parts of the country.
Looking ahead, Hero MotoCorp has much bigger plans for flex-fuel technology. The company's CEO, Harshavardhan Chitale, recently stated that Hero aims to introduce flex-fuel versions of all motorcycles in its portfolio within the next two years. According to him, the technology has already been developed and will soon be rolled out across the brand's entire lineup.
