Tata Avinya X Interior Patent Leaked Ahead Of Debut, New Details Out
Tata Avinya X interior patent images have surfaced online, revealing a clear dashboard & premium cabin
Indian automobile giant Tata Motors plans to roll out its new luxury electric vehicle (EV) line, Avinya, soon. The first model in this lineup, known as the Avinya X, will be positioned above the existing range of Tata Motors and become the brand's flagship model. Ahead of its official debut, patent images have revealed an early look at the dashboard of the upcoming electric SUV.
Dashboard Design Revealed
The leaked patent image reveals the dashboard and steering wheel design of the Avinya X. The steering wheel features touch-based controls and carries the "AVINYA" branding at the centre. The dashboard follows a clean and minimal design with very few physical buttons.
Premium Cabin Anticipated
The production version is expected to retain several design cues from the Avinya concept showcased earlier. A dashboard-mounted display positioned above a soundbar-like unit is likely to be part of the package.
It is expected to offer a spacious five-seat layout with generous room for passengers. Tata Motors is also likely to use sustainable and eco-friendly materials throughout the cabin.
Features such as a large touchscreen infotainment system, wireless phone charging, panoramic sunroof, 360-degree camera and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) are also expected to be offered.
Reports suggest the Avinya X could also support Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) charging functions.
Inspired by the Avinya Concept
In terms of design, the Avinya X is expected to stay close to the concept vehicle first shown in 2022. It could feature a full-width LED light bar, slim headlamps, a distinctive front fascia, strong character lines, a glass roof and unique LED tail lamps at the rear.
Fast Charging and Long Range
The Avinya range will use locally manufactured battery packs developed for Tata Motors' next-generation electric vehicles.
Tata has previously indicated that the new EV architecture could deliver at least 500 km of driving range with less than 30 minutes of charging time under suitable conditions.
Production to Begin in Tamil Nadu
The Avinya X will be manufactured at Tata Motors' upcoming facility in Panapakkam, Tamil Nadu. The plant is being developed jointly with Jaguar Land Rover and is expected to have an annual production capacity of around 2.5 lakh vehicles.
More details about the Tata Avinya X are expected to be revealed closer to its official debut later this year.
