Battery, Range And Charging
The Sierra EV is offered with two LFP battery packs, a 63 kWh unit and a 75 kWh unit, both built on a cell-to-pack architecture and covered by a lifetime battery warranty. The 63 kWh version carries an MIDC rated range of 585 km, while the 75 kWh RWD version is rated at 665 km on the same cycle, with Tata claiming up to 530 km in real-world conditions. The QWD version uses the 75 kWh pack as well but trades some range for quicker acceleration and stronger traction.
On the charging front, the Sierra EV supports up to 120 kW DC fast charging. Getting from 20 to 80 percent takes around 26 minutes. With a 120 kW DC charger, the 63 kWh version can add up to 203 km of range in 15 minutes, while the 75 kWh version can add up to 263 km in the same window.
Powertrain And Performance
The rear-wheel-drive versions use a single motor that produces 175 kW and 340 Nm of torque, with a wheel torque output of 2,857 Nm. The QWD variant adds a front motor making 103 kW and 164 Nm, pushing total wheel torque to 4,922 Nm. In its quickest QWD form, the Sierra EV covers 0 to 100 kmph in 5.8 seconds.
The QWD variant also brings Boost Mode, multiple terrain modes and multi-level regenerative braking. Tata claims a restart gradeability of over 50 percent and a running gradeability of over 60 percent for this version.
Storage And Power Sharing
The Sierra EV offers 622 litres of boot space along with a 55-litre frunk. The SUV also supports Vehicle-to-Load at 3.3 kW, which lets owners run external devices from the battery, and Vehicle-to-Vehicle charging at 5 kW, which can transfer charge to another electric vehicle.

Adventure is where the battery choice opens up, with both 63 kWh and 75 kWh packs available. This trim adds a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear selector, mood lighting, Boss Mode, a thigh support extender, front seat back pockets, an auto-dimming interior rear-view mirror, express cooling, a wireless phone charger, rear wiper, washer and defogger, a 540-degree camera, blind spot monitoring, a 12-speaker JBL sound system with soundbar, and Dolby Atmos.
Empowered moves to a beige, grey and black cabin theme with beige seat upholstery. Seven Colour Options Across The Range
The Sierra EV is available in seven exterior colours: Pristine White, Pure Grey, Coorg Cloud, Bengal Rouge, Andaman Adventure, Rishikesh Rapids and Nainital Nocturne.
Pristine White, Pure Grey and Coorg Cloud are offered across all variants. Bengal Rouge and Andaman Adventure are available from the Adventure variant upward. Rishikesh Rapids is reserved for the Empowered and Empowered A trims. Nainital Nocturne is exclusive to the top-spec Empowered A QWD variant.
Rivals In The Segment
The Tata Sierra EV enters a growing electric SUV segment and will compete against the Mahindra BE 6, Hyundai Creta Electric, MG ZS EV, Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara, VinFast VF6, VinFast VF7 and Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella.
Two Details Buyers May Want To Compare
One point worth noting is where ADAS sits in the Sierra EV lineup. Level 2+ ADAS, Auto Park Assist and Summon Mode are available only on the Empowered A variant, which starts at Rs 24.79 lakh with the 75 kWh RWD setup. Buyers who want these features will need to move to the top-spec variant. By comparison, the Mahindra BE 6 offers Level 2 ADAS from its Pack Two variant, giving buyers access to ADAS at a lower price point.
Another area where the Sierra EV stands out is storage space. It offers a 622-litre boot along with a 55-litre frunk, compared with the BE 6's 455-litre boot and 45-litre frunk. For buyers who often travel with family or carry a lot of luggage, the extra storage space could make a noticeable difference.
Neither of these differences will matter to every buyer, but both are worth keeping in mind. The BE 6 makes ADAS available earlier in the variant lineup, while the Sierra EV offers more boot and frunk space for buyers who need the extra practicality.
